Özet
Bu çalışma, Delphine de Vigan'ın Gerçek Bir Hikâyeden Uyarlanmıştır adlı romanını eş benlik (doppelgänger) izleği çerçevesinde ele alarak metinde ortaya çıkan kimlik, benlik ve öteki ilişkisini psikanalitik bir bakışla incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Romanın gerçek ile kurmaca arasındaki sınırları bilinçli biçimde belirsizleştiren yapısı, başkahramanın benlik algısında meydana gelen kırılmaları görünür kılmakta ve anlatının temel gerilim hattını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada nitel yöntem benimsenmiş, metin, psikanalitik kuram çerçevesinde yakın okuma tekniğiyle çözümlenmiştir. Analiz süreci metin merkezli bir yaklaşımla yürütülmüş, yazarın biyografisi ve diğer eserleri inceleme kapsamı dışında bırakılmıştır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde romanın anlatı yapısı, özkurmaca niteliği ve anlatıcının konumu değerlendirilmiştir. Bu unsurların kimlik temasını nasıl biçimlendirdiği incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde romanın oluşturduğu atmosfer, tekinsizlik kavramı çerçevesinde ele alınarak belirsizlik, tanıdık olanın yabancılaşması ve bastırılmış olanın geri dönüşü gibi unsurlar analiz edilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise ayna evresi kuramı temel alınarak başkahramanın ötekiyle kurduğu ilişki ve benliğin oluşum sürecindeki kırılganlık değerlendirilmiştir. L. karakterinin anlatı içindeki konumu, başkahramanın kendilik algısını dönüştüren ve benlik sınırlarını muğlaklaştıran bir unsur olarak ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda, romanın eş benlik izleği aracılığıyla modern bireyin kimlik arayışını ve benlik parçalanmasını edebî düzlemde görünür kıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Eserin, gerçek ile kurmaca arasındaki geçirgenliği kullanarak öznenin kendisiyle kurduğu ilişkinin kırılganlığını ortaya koyduğu ve psikanalitik açıdan çok katmanlı bir okuma imkânı sunduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

This study aims to examine Delphine de Vigan's Based on a True Story through the motif of the doppelgänger, focusing on the relationships between identity, selfhood, and the other from a psychoanalytic perspective. The novel's deliberate blurring of the boundaries between reality and fiction reveals fractures in the protagonist's sense of self and forms the central tension of the narrative. A qualitative approach has been adopted in this research, and the text has been analyzed through close reading within a psychoanalytic framework. The analysis follows a text-centered approach; the author's biography and other works have been excluded from the scope of the study. The first chapter focuses on the narrative structure of the novel, its autofictional characteristics, and the ambiguous position of the narrator, examining how these elements shape the theme of identity. The second chapter analyzes the atmosphere of the novel through the concept of the uncanny, addressing elements such as ambiguity, the estrangement of the familiar, and the return of the repressed. In the third chapter, the protagonist's encounter with the other and the fragility of self-formation are discussed within the framework of the mirror stage. In this context, the character L. is interpreted as a figure that transforms the protagonist's sense of self and destabilizes the boundaries of identity. The findings indicate that the novel makes visible the modern individual's search for identity and the fragmentation of the self through the doppelgänger motif. By sustaining the tension between reality and fiction, the narrative exposes the instability of selfhood and offers a multilayered ground for psychoanalytic interpretation.
