Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışma hasta güvenliği ile ilgili sanal oyun simülasyonu uygulamasını geliştirerek, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin tıbbi hatalara yönelik kontrol ve dikkat düzeyleri ve tutumlarına etkisini, hemşirelik uygulamalarında memnuniyet ve kendine güvenlerini değerlendirmek amacıyla randomize kontrollü deneysel desende gerçekleştirildi. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmanın evrenini, 2025-2026 Eğitim-öğretim döneminde öğrenim gören Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi Hamidiye Hemşirelik Fakültesi 115 dördüncü sınıf öğrencisi oluşturdu. Araştırma, müdahale grubu (n=40) ve kontrol grubunu (n=43) oluşturan 83 öğrenci ile tamamlandı. Müdahale grubuna araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen hasta güvenliği ile ilgili sanal oyun simülasyonu uygulandı. Araştırma verileri“Öğrenci Bilgi Formu”,“Öğrenci Memnuniyeti ve Öğrenmede Kendine Güven Ölçeği”,“Simülasyon Tasarım Ölçeği”,“Modifiye Simülasyon Etkililik Aracı”,“Hemşirelik Öğrencileri İçin Tıbbi Hata Ölçeği”ve“Tıbbi Hatalarda Tutum Ölçeği”ile toplandı. Araştırma verilerinin analizinde uygun istatistiksel yöntemler kullanıldı. Bulgular: Müdahale ve kontrol gruplarının tanıtıcı özellikler bakımından homojen bir dağılım gösterdiği saptandı (p>0.05). Hemşirelik Öğrencileri İçin Tıbbi Hata Ölçeği ve Tıbbi Hatalarda Tutum Ölçeği müdahale ve kontrol grupları arasında ön test–son test puanlarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir değişim olduğu belirlendi (p<0.001). Müdahale grubu hemşirelik öğrencilerinin Öğrenci Memnuniyeti ve Öğrenmede Kendine Güven Ölçeği, Simülasyon Tasarım Ölçeği ve Modifiye Simülasyon Etkililik Ölçeği puanlarının yüksek olduğu belirlendi. Sonuç: Sanal oyun simülasyonu yönteminin hasta güvenliği eğitiminde kullanılmasının tıbbi hatalara yönelik kontrol ve dikkat ve tıbbi hatalarda tutum düzeylerini artırmada etkili olduğu saptandı.

Aim: This study was conducted in a randomized controlled experimental design to evaluate the effects of a virtual game simulation application related to patient safety on nursing students' levels of control and attention toward medical errors, their attitudes toward medical errors, and their satisfaction and self-confidence in nursing practices by developing a virtual game simulation application related to patient safety. Materials and Methods: The population of the study consisted of 115 fourth year students enrolled at the University of Health Sciences Hamidiye Faculty of Nursing during the 2025–2026 academic year. The study was completed with 83 students, including the experimental group (n=40) and the control group (n=43). A virtual game simulation application related to patient safety, developed by the researcher, was applied to the experimental group. The research data were collected using the“Student Information Form,”“Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning Scale,”“Simulation Design Scale,”“Modified Simulation Effectiveness Tool,”“Medical Error Scale for Nursing Students,”and“Attitudes toward Medical Errors Scale.”Appropriate statistical methods were used in the analysis of the research data. Results: It was determined that the experimental and control groups showed a homogeneous distribution in terms of descriptive characteristics (p>0.05). A statistically significant difference was found between the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental and control groups on the Medical Error Scale for Nursing Students and the Attitudes toward Medical Errors Scale (p<0.001). It was also determined that the nursing students in the experimental group had high scores on the Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning Scale, Simulation Design Scale, and Modified Simulation Effectiveness Tool. Conclusion: It was determined that the use of the virtual game simulation method in patient safety education was effective in increasing levels of control and attention toward medical errors and improving attitudes toward medical errors.
