Özet
Bu çalışmada kader, nedensellik ve insan öznelliği ile eyleminin mahiyeti meseleleri, Aristoteles şarihi İskender Afrodisî'nin De Fato risalesi temelinde incelenmiştir. İnceleme, yalnızca risalenin kendi argümantatif yapısıyla sınırlı kalmayıp İskender'in mensup olduğu Meşşâî geleneği ve Aristoteles'in kader ile insan öznelliğine ilişkin görüşlerini, aynı zamanda risaledeki eleştirinin temel hedefi olan Stoacıların determinizm anlayışını da kapsayacak biçimde geniş bir felsefi çerçevede ele almaktadır. Çalışma üç ana eksen üzerine kurulmaktadır. Birinci bölümde hem Meşşâî hem de Stoacı geleneğin kader, nedensellik ve bu ilişki içerisinde τὸ ἐφ' ἡμῖν (bize bağlı olan) kavramına dair görüşlerinin kavramsal ve felsefi bir izdüşümü yapılmaktadır. İkinci bölümde risalenin kendi argümantasyonu ve eleştirileri tematik bir çerçevede ayrıntılı biçimde değerlendirilmektedir. Üçüncü ve son bölümde ise çalışmanın asıl teorik amacı olan kader ve nedensellik bağlamında öznenin ontolojik ve metafiziksel boyutunun mahiyeti ile insan eyleminin hangi ölçüde ve hangi ontolojik zeminde özneyle ilişkilendirilebileceği sorusu, karşılaştırmalı bir felsefi irdeleme yöntemiyle ele alınmaktadır. Bu irdeleme boyunca temel kavramsal ve kuramsal zemin, İskender'i diğer geleneklerden ayrıştıran τὸ ἐφ' ἡμῖν kavramı ile bu kavramın kader, nedensellik, zorunluluk ve şans gibi meselelerle kurduğu ilişki üzerinden inşa edilmektedir.

This study examines the questions of fate, causality, and the nature of human subjectivity and action on the basis of De Fato, the treatise of Alexander of Aphrodisias, the commentator of Aristotle. The inquiry extends beyond the argumentative structure of the treatise itself to encompass the Peripatetic tradition to which Alexander belongs, Aristotle's views on fate and human subjectivity, as well as the Stoic doctrine of determinism, which constitutes the primary target of criticism in the treatise. The study is organized around three main axes. The first part offers a conceptual and philosophical overview of both the Peripatetic and Stoic traditions' views on fate, causality, and the nature of τὸ ἐφ' ἡμῖν (what is up to us) within this relational framework. The second part provides a detailed thematic analysis of the treatise's own argumentation and critiques. The third and final part addresses the study's principal theoretical aim: the question of the ontological and metaphysical dimensions of the subject within the context of fate and causality, and the extent to which human action can be related to the subject on a coherent ontological basis. This inquiry is carried out through a comparative philosophical method, and the fundamental conceptual and theoretical framework is constructed through the concept of τὸ ἐφ' ἡμῖν — which distinguishes Alexander from other traditions — and the arguments it develops in relation to fate, causality, necessity, and chance.
