KENTSEL BİÇİMLENDİRMEYİ KURGULANDIRAN ESERLER ULUS-SIHHIYE AKSI (1920-1940) ÇETlN, TÜLÎN Mimarlık Fakültesi Mimarlık Bölümü Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Mimarlık Bölümü Tez Yöneticisi : Öğ. Gör. ilhan KURAL Eylül 1990, 165 sayfa ÖZET Bu çalışmada. kent biçimini kurgulandıran öğelerin mimari ürünler olduğu savı kabul edilmiş ve bu mimari ürünlerin değerleri araştırılmıştır. İlk bölümde mimari ürünlerin kent gelişimindeki rolleri sunulmuş ve çalışmanın kapsamı, amaçları, metodolojisi özetlenmiştir. vİkinci bölümde kent biçimlenmesine ait bir kuramsal çerçeve oluşturulmuştur. Bu çerçevede önce kent biçimlenmesini değerlendirmede temel olan kavram ve tanımlar konulmuştur. Daha sonra bu kavram ve tanımlar çerçevesinde, kentlerin biçimsel yapılarını kurgulandıran ürünlerin değer sistemleri, tarihseli örneklerle desteklenerek, araştırılmıştır. Günümüz kentini biçimlendiren öğelerin değer sistemleri incelenmiş ve takınılan tavrın geçerliliği ortaya konmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde, yukarıdaki tartışmayı somutlaştırmak amacıyla, var olan ve karakteristik bir biçimlenme içeren, bir kentsel çevre incelenmiştir. Bu çevrenin oluşumu, dönüşümleri ve biçimsel gerçekleri araştırılarak, gelecekteki müdahalelere öneri olacak bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır.

ARTIFACTS AS THE ORDERING ELEMENTS OF URBAN MORPHOLOGY CASE STUDY : ULUS-SIHHIYE AXIS (1920-1940) ÇETİN, TÜLÎN Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture M. Arch in Architecture Supervisor : Inst. îlhan KURAL September 1990, 165 pages ABSTRACT In this study, accepting architecture as the constructive element of urban morphology, the values of those architectural artifacts that the city is structured and unified through are investigated. In the first chapter, the role of architecture in the development of the city is presented with an introductory remark. Then the scope, objectives and the methodology of the study are introduced. mIn the second chapter, a conceptual framework is drawn for urban morphology. Within this framework, firstly, basic concepts and definitions to evaluate the morphology of the city are introduced. Then, these concepts are discussed through artifacts that construct the morphological structure of the cities, in a retrospective manner. Finally the validity of the city conception presented in the study as opposed to contrasting attitudes is presented. In the third chapter, to concretize the discussion, an existing environment showing a characteristic morphology is examined. The formation, the transformations and the morphological facts of the environment are presented. The study ends with a recommandatory evaluation with regard to the specific environment selected.
