YÜKSEK LİSANS TEZ ÖZÜ RÖNESANS DÖNEMİ MİTOLOJİK KONULU RESİMLERDE FİGÜR Cengiz KURTULUŞ Resim Anasanat Dalı Anadolu Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü, Mart 2002 Danışman: Yrd. Doç. Gülbin KOÇAK Mitoloji, tanrıları, evreni ve insanın yaradılışını anlatan, toplumlar arası farklılık gösteren, öykü, efsane anlamına gelir. Mitoloji sanatın her döneminde etkili olduğu gibi resim sanatında da varlığını sürdürmektedir. Yunan mitolojisinin Avrupa resim sanatını büyük ölçüde etkilediği görülmektedir. Mitolojik konular Rönesans dönemi resimlerde farklı amaçlarla hizmet etmiştir. Orta çağdaki dini konuların yerini mitolojik konular alarak, toplumsal konulara adım atılmıştır. Yunan mitolojisinin insana verdiği önem ve insanı yüceltmesi Rönesans resim sanatında figüre ayrı bir değer kazandırmıştır.“Rönesans Dönemi Mitolojik Konulu Resimlerde Figür”adlı yüksek lisans tezinin Bulgular ve Yorum bölümünde I. alt başlıkta Mitolojinin Tanımı, Mitoloji ve Sanat, Rönesans ve Mitoloji, Mitoloji ve Figür, Rönesans: hümanizm ve mit ilişkileri açıklanmıştır. II. Alt başlıkta Erken Rönesans dönemi, III. alt başlıkta Rönesans Dönemi genel olarak açıklanmıştır. Rönesans dönemi Mitolojik konulu resimlerde figür adlı IV. alt başlıkta İtalya ve Almanya'da mitolojik konulu resimler ve örnek sanatçılar seçilerek figür incelemesi yapılmıştır. V. alt başlıkta ise Maniyerizm Döneminden İtalya, İspanya ve Fransa'daki mitolojik konulu resimlerden örnek sanatçılar seçilmiş ve figürler incelenmiştir.

Ill ABSTRACT FIGURE IN MYTHOLOGICAL PAINTINGS OF RENAISSANCE PERIOD Cengiz KURTULUŞ Drawing Art Basic Branch Anadolu University, Social Sciences Institute, March 2002 Supervisor: Asist. Prof. Gülbin KOÇAK Mithology means tale and/or legend which tell a lot about gods, universe, and human creation, and also differ from one society to other. As well as being effective in each period of art, mythology has emphasised its presence in art of drawing. It is seen that Greek mythology has a considerable influence on European drawing art. Mythological subjects served paintings of Renaissance for diffrent purposes. Religious matters of the Middle Age time had been replaced by mythological subjects and consequently, social dealings came to the reality. With the appreciation and honours of being human giving by Greek mythology and Renaissance figure in art of painting gained another dimension. In the sections of findings and discussion of this thesis, first main sub-title explains the identification of mythology, 'Mythology and Art' 'Renaissance and Mythology', 'Mythology and figure', 'Relationships Between Renaissance-Humanism' and 'Relationships Between Renaissance-Mythology'. Second sub-title given 'The Early years of Renaissance'. The third sub-title given 'The Whole Period of Renaissance'. The fourth sub-title shown the painters and their paintings which were about the effect of mythology and their shadows on figure in paintings are given in Italy and in Germany. Finally, last title presents figure investigations in mythological paintings drawn by the most famous artists of Renaissance from Italy, from Spain and from France who were namely Maiyerist.
