SUMMARY Hasan Nadir Efendi's mevlit that we examined was written in Anatalia and It is a most enjoyed mevlit in its written are a unitil now, there has not been made any selentifk research about H. Nadir Efendi and his works. We accelerated a bit more by making a research about that person whose name and work is known both, about his life and mevlid, some new information was presented to those who examine on mevlids and it was expelled from the category that consists of mevlids whose names are heard but we don't have any information about so that it was presented to researchers' knowledge and advantage. I believe in the fact that in Anatolia..similar to this, there are lots of local mevlids which remain in the dusty shelfs of the libraries. By translating this mevlid, which was one example of mevlids written in 19. century that express the love to prophet best, into current turkish from ottoman turkish, we presented it to our people's perception and advantage. I believe that by doing so, I did one are of the duties towords our ancestors. Morever, while peaple read the mevlid, they get some lessons from history of islam and so that they are affected from the life of prophet by travelling towords the non-stop happinies, in kuran it is stated that being close to prophet takes people claser to God. In mevlid, these are lot of words and phrases from Arabic and Farsia yet, although they are difficult for our today's peaple, these words and phrases were easiliy understood in the written time of mevlid. Our aim to make such a research to make peaple read prophet's life end state his best personality again and show that these mevlid traditions are not only restricted to Süleyman Çelebi9 s mevlid. I believe that this mevlid. Which was liked by people in its written time to current Turkish so, we will learn that today H. Nadir Efendi's mevlid is also read in some religious ceremonies. I hope that this study about H.Nadir Efendi's life his literatural personality and his most important work, Mevlid, will be great help to those who make researches about this field. 132
