Özet
Bu çalışma, Türk edebiyatında belli bir dönem faaliyet göstermiş olan Ahmet Reşit Rey' in biyografisi ve edebî eserlerini konu almaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı, Ahmet Reşit Rey' in şahsında Türk edebiyat tarihinde, üzerinde yeterince durulmamış olan fikirlerin bilgi ve belgelere dayanılarak ortaya çıkarılması ve bilimsel olarak değerlendirilmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda şahıs ve eser incelemesinde kullanılan çağdaş bilimsel yöntemler tespit edilerek Ahmet Reşit Rey 'in biyografisi ve eserlerine uygulanmış ve belli sonuçlara varılmıştır. Çalışmada seçilen konular, bu konulan aydınlatıcı bilgi ve belgelere dayanılarak değerlendirilmeye çalışılmış bu bilgiler ışığında terkip ve tahlil yoluna gidilmiştir. Ahmet Reşit Rey ve onun edebi ve siyasi faaliyetleri, farklı kaynaklar incelenerek tespit edilmiş ve özellikle edebi faaliyetleri üzerinde ayrıntılı olarak durulmuştur. Neticede başlangıçta belirlenen amaçlar doğrultusunda Servet-i Fünun Edebiyatı adım verdiğimiz edebiyat döneminde, tenkit ve üslûp sahasında önemli fikirleri olan Ahmet Reşit Rey' in bu döneme ve genel olarak Türk edebiyat tarihine katkıları tespit edilmiştir. This study is concerned with the life and work of Ahmet Reşit Rey, who was part of the Turkish literature for a while. The object of the study is to demonstrate and scientifically evaluate the ideas in a way that is based on the information and the documents on Ahmet Reşit Rey, which are not covered satisfactorily in the Turkish literature. In order to accomplish this, the contemporary and scientific methods used in the study of persons and their work were identified and these methods were applied to the life and work of Ahmet Reşit Rey and accordingly, certain results were achieved. An attempt was made to evaluate the topics chosen for this study, based on the information and documents on the said topics and a collection and analysis was conducted in the light of the same. Ahmet Reşit Rey and his literary and political activities were reviewed through the study of various sources and a special emphasis was given to his literary activities. As a result, thi contribution to the literary period named as Servet-i Fünun and the history of Turkish literature in general of Ahmet Reşit Rey, who had significant ideas in the areas of criticism and style were identified as set forth at the beginning of the study.
