Özet

Bu çalışmada konusunu Türk tarihinden alan tiyatro eserlerinin hangi tarihi dönemleri, kişileri ve mekânları ele aldıkları ile tarihe bakış açıları araştırılmıştır. Başlangıçtan 1950 yılına kadar neşredilmiş olup konusunu Türk tarihinden alan ve Türkçe yazılan tiyatro eserlerinden altmış üç eser değerlendirilmiştir. Tanzimat öncesi yazılan eserlerde tek tek tarihi olayların ve kişilerin ele alındığı, Tanzimat döneminde yazılan tarihî tiyatro eserlerimizde ise yazarlarımızın, devrin millî tiyatro anlayışına uygun olarak konularım eski Türk tarihinden seçtikleri görülmüştür. Meşrutiyet devrinde yazılan tarihî tiyatro eserlerimizde bir önceki döneme göre sayıca bir artış vardır. Felâketli günleri yaşayan yazarlarımızın tarihin şaşalı dönemlerine giderek moral bulmaya çalıştıkları görülür. Fikir akımları sanatçıları etkilemiştir. Osmanlı dönemi, Musahipzâde Celâl'in yazdığı eserlerde eleştirilmiştir. Cumhuriyet döneminde yazılan tarihî tiyatro eserlerimizde yazarların devrin tarih tezine uygun olarak eserler verdikleri ve Türk tarihinin kökenlerine indikleri görülmüştür. Türk'ün yüce vasıflan ve büyük kahramanları eserlere konu edilmiştir. Konusunu Osmanlının duraklama ve gerileme dönemlerinden alan eserlerde Osmanlıyı yıkılışa götüren nedenler üzerinde durulmuştur. Tiyatro yazarlarımızın Türk tarihine başlangıçtan beri itibar ettiği görülmüştür.

In this thesis we studied works of theatre written in Turkish whose subjects are about Turkish history. We also pointed out the dates, personalities and places mentioned in these works. We analysed 63 works published from the beginning to 1950. In the works of theatre written before Tanzimat period, authors chose historical events and persons as subjects. In the historical theatre works written at Tanzimat period, authors chose subjects from old Turkish history in accordance with understanding of national theatre of that time. There is a remarkable increase in the number of historical theatre works written at Meşrutiyet period in comparison with Tanzimat period. It is observed in those historical theatre works that authors chose splendor days in Turkish history as subjects to be able to forget disastrous days they lived. Artisans were affected by currents of ideas. Ottoman period before that time was criticized especially in the works of Musahipzâde Celâl. In the historical theatre works written in Republican period, authors wrote their works in accordance with historical understanding of that time. They traced the Turkish history back to its origins in their works. Authors who discovered the quality of being a Turk again chose exalted qualifications and heroes of the Turks as subjects in their works. In the works whose subjects were taken from the hesitation and regression of the Ottoman Empire, authors concentrated on the causes of the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. Consequently, it can be said that authors of the theatre works esteemed Turkish history from the first times.
