Özet

oz Zeki Ökten filmlerinin, çekildiği dönemin Türkiye'sini ne kadar yansıtabildiğinin belirlenmesi bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Bunun için öncelikle toplumsal ve siyasal yapı kavramlarının tanımı verilerek, Türkiye'nin toplumsal ve siyasal yapısındaki değişiklikler ve bu değişikliklerin etkilediği sinemamız 1923 'ten 2000'li yıllara kadar, onar yıllık dönemler halinde ele alınmaktadır. 1963'te sinemaya giren Zeki Ökten' in, 1990 yılı sonuna kadar çektiği filmlerden yola çıkarak yaptığımız çalışmada, yönetmenin 1970'li yılların başlarında çektiği filmlerde toplumsal özelliklerin yan tema olarak kaldığı, 1974'ten sonra güldürü filmlerinde yavaş yavaş görülen toplumsal özelliklerin, 70 sonunda Yılmaz Güney ile yapılan ortak çalışmalar ile artarak devam ettiği, 1980 sonrasında toplumsal ve siyasal eleştiri filmleri ile toplumsal bir sinema anlayışı yarattığı, 1999'daki son filmi“Güle Güle”ile toplumsallıktan uzak bir anlayış sergilediği ortaya konmuştur. ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to observe the reflection of social events on the movies of Zeki Ökten. First of all, social and political structure has been evaluated at the conceptial level, the definitions of the terms are given. Moreover, the changes in the social and especially political structure of Turkey has been investigated and as the last step the reflections of the political and social structural changes on the Turkish cinema have been studied at 10 year periods. Zeki Ökten had started his carreer in 1963, this study comprises his films till the end of 1990. In the early 1970's, director Zeki Ökten had used the social and political structural themes of the society as a side theme, in this period these social factors remained secondary in his movies. By 1974 the reflections of the societal events had begun to be seen in his comedies, by the end of 1970s the reflections of social events had been expressed more powerfully especially in the films co-directed by Yılmaz Güney. After 1980, it is seen that a new period had started, films based on the criticisms of social and political events had created a new understanding as“social movie”concept. Yet after 1990's, in his last movie“Güle Güle”, he has exhibited an apolitical and non-social approach. m
