Özet
ÖZET Rekabetin ön plana çıktığı günümüzde, faaliyet alanı ne olursa olsun, her şirket, değişen müşteri ihtiyaçlarına ve beklentilerine cevap verme gerekliliğinin ve müşteri memnuniyetini sağlamanın önemini kavramıştır. Müşteriye kaliteli ve hızlı hizmet verme gereksinimi, dünyada olduğu gibi Türkiye'deki şirketleri de yeni teknolojileri en etkin biçimde kullanmaya zorlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, iş akışı sistemlerinin, kurumların operasyonel veya idari süreçlerinin etkin bir şekilde işlemesi için kullanılabilecek önemli bir teknoloji olduğu vurgulanmıştır. İş akışı sistemleri, dokümanlarının belirli kurallara göre, kurum içinde veya kurumlar arasında akmasına olanak vermektedir. İş akış sistemlerinin kurulumu, sadece teknolojik bir adaptasyon değil, aynı zamanda iş süreçlerinin yeniden tasarımı anlamına da geldiğinden, rekabet avantajı sağlamak için iş akış sistemleri çok önemli unsurlardır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümlerinde iş akış sistemleri ve bu sistemlerle ilişkili olan doküman yönetimi sistemleri incelenmiş, ardından bu konuda daha önce yapılmış çalışmalara değinilmiştir. Uygulama olarak, bir bankada iki süreç örnek olarak seçilmiş, bu süreçlerin bir iş akış sistemiyle elektronik ortamda gerçekleştirilmesi sağlanmıştır. Süreçlerin baştan sona otomatize edilebilmesi için, iş akış sistemi farklı sistemlerle entegre edilmiştir. Kurulan sistem, düzenli ve standart iş süreçlerinin sağlanması, işlem ve onay sürelerinin azalması, süreçlerin daha az hata ile gerçekleşmesi, güvenliğin artması, süreçlerin izlenebilmesi, kırtasiye ve kurye giderlerinin azalması gibi avantajlar sağlamıştır.

ABSTRACT In these days while the competition is very much on the foreground, every company of any scope, comprehend the importance of meeting the varying customer requirements and expectations and providing customer satisfaction. The necessity of giving the fast and qualified service to the customer, forces the companies to use the latest technologies effectively as can be viewed all over the world. In this study, it is emphasized that the implementation of workflow systems is one of the important technologies to process the operational and management periods efficiently. Workflow systems enable the documents to flow inside or between the corporations, according to a set of procedural rules. Workflow systems are very significant issues to provide competitional advantages because implementation of workflow systems is not only a technological adaptation but also implementation of workflow systems provides business processes to be redesigned. In the initial parts of the study, workflow systems and the document management systems related with these systems are examined then the previous studies about this subject are considered. As an application, two processes in a bank are chosen and then they are generated electronically with a workflow system. To automate the processes completely, the integration of the workflow system with other systems is achieved. Regular and standart business processes, decreased process and approval times, accurately processes, more security, monitoring of processes, decreased delivery and stationary costs are advantages provided by the implementation of the system.
