TREATMENT OF HARD WATER BY USING ELECTROMAGNETIC METHOD SUMMARY Keywords : Electromagnetic water treatment, water hardness, water softing Today it's very difficult to find quality water resources, present resources and the study of increasing quality water has been accelerated. One of the problems of water in the scope of household chores and industry is roughness. It especially leads to lime in the hot water. Electromagnetic purification besed on water passing through electromagnetic field, calcium and magnesium ion lost their qualification by turning into lime resulted in variation. Despite the fact that it wasn't precisely understood and quite enough scientific data on magnetic purification over 100 years, it has been used in the field of household chores and industry. Apart from other water purification process, magnetic purification has no direct effect on water chemistry. It only reflects on calcium carbonate morphology and grabbing qualification. Thus, it wasn't technically purified, it has the same qualification as purified water. It was realized that a lot of researches showed the rate of the water had changeable aragonite calcite rate. It's known that it makes the water useful in the field of industry and household chores. The first section has the general knowledge of this study. General qualifications of the water was expressed in the second section. Roughness water and its problems were determined in the third section. Conventional techniques about purifying of roughness water were in the forth section. Magnetic purification systems and working principles and implementation were presented in the fifth section. Experimental studies on the subject were explained in the sixth section. The results of the experiments and their interprets were given in the seventh section. The study showed us that the electromagnetic water purification method can be used in the scope of purifying roughness water and industry, household chores. xm
