Özet

Bu çalısmanın amacı , ?Eseyli ve Eseysiz Üreme? konusunda tasarlanan ögretim modelinin , sekizinci sınıf ögrencilerinin basarılarına etkisini incelemektir. Bu çalısmada arastırmacı tarafından konu ile ilgili konu basarı testi gelistirilmistir. Gelistirilen test örnekleme, öntest ve sontest olarak uygulanmıstır. Örnekleme, 2005-2006 yılında Düzce Akçakoca ilkögretim okulunda okumakta olan iki sınıftan (n= 41) olusmaktadır. Sınıflardan biri kontrol digeri deney grubudur. Deney grubuna, öntest uygulandıktan sonra tasarlanan ögretim modeli uygulanmıs, kontrol grubunda ise ders islenisine müdahale edilmemistir. Tasarlanan ögretim modeline konu anlatım metni, çalısma yaprakları, eseyli üreme modeli ve performans degerlendirme etkinliklerinden olusmaktadır. Tasarlanan bu ögretim modeli deney grubuna iki ders saati laboratuarda, bes ders saati sınıf ortamında uygulanmıstır.Konu islendikten sonra öntest olarak uygulanan test, sontest olarak yeniden uygulanmıstır. Test ANOVA ve t-testi kullanılarak analiz edilmistir. Analiz sonuçları deney grubunda basarının, kontrol grubundakinden daha fazla oldugunu göstermistir. Sonuç olarak, ögrenciyi merkeze alarak tasarlanan ögretim modelinin ögrencilerin basarılarına etkisinin anlamlı oldugu görülmektedir.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the instruction model on eighth grade students accomplishment and understanding levels of ?Sexsual and asexsual reproductıon? subject. In this study a subject success test was developed. The test was applied as sampling , pretest and postest. The sampling data were collected from the Akçakoca Primary School In Düzce during 2005-2006 academic year. 41 students from two classes were included in this study. One class was called control group an done class was called experimental group. After the pretest, the instruction model was applied to the experimental group but no change was made to the teaching style for the control group. The instruction model consist of concept teaching, worksheets, sexsual reproduction model and performance evaluation activities. The instruction model was applied to the experimental group in a laboratory for two lessons time and in class for additional five lessons time. The pretest was given as a posttest to see the results of the instruction model. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and t-test. The results showed that the success of the experimental group was beter than the control group. In conclusion the students centered instruction model effects the students accomplishment and understanding levels of ?sexsual and asexsual reproduction? subject.
