Özet

Bu tezin birinci bölümü, mangan(III) asetat eşliğindeki reaksiyonların, sentetik vemekanistik yönlerden yeniden incelenmesini kapsar. Çalışmadaki temel amaç,enonların ve doymuş sistemlerin α′-asetoksileme reaksiyonlarını, literatürde bilinenyöntemlerden daha kısa sürede ve daha yüksek verimlerle, tekrarlanabilir şekildeα′-asetoksilemegerçekleştirmektir. Çok çeşitli substratların reaksiyonlarıyayınlanmış olmasına rağmen, Mn(OAc)3 kullanımıyla ilgili problemler halamevcuttur. Enonların asetoksilenmesi için basit metotların bulunmamasını gözα′-asetoksilemeönünde bulundurulduğunda, Mn(OAc)3 eşleniğindekireaksiyonlarının optimize edilerek sentetik ve ekonomik açıdan maksimumpotansiyele ulaştırılması önemini korumaktadır.Tezin ikinci bölümünde, 1,2,4-trisübstitüe pirol türevlerinin sentezlenmesi hedefolarak seçilmiştir. Pirol sentezi için oldukça fazla metot bulunmasına rağmen,bunların çoğu toplam verimin düşmesine neden olan birçok basamaktanoluşmaktadır. Pirolün azotunun stereo merkeze doğrudan bağlı olduğu kiral piroltürevlerinin sentezi için çok az metot mevcuttur. Kiral polisübstitüe pirol türevlerininrasematlaşmadan sentezlenmesi için yeni bir sentez metodunun geliştirilmesi halaönemli bir hedef olarak bulunmaktadır.

The first part of the thesis presents the reinvestigation of the synthetic andmechanistic aspects of manganese (III) acetate mediated reactions. The main concernabout this subject was to perform α′- acetoxylation reactions of enones and saturatedsystems in shorter reactions times and higher yields than the ones known in literaturereproducibly. Although successful α′-acetoxylation of a great variety of substrateshave been reported so far, there are some problems associated with the use ofMn(OAc)3. Considering that there are not many simple methods for the directacetoxylation of enones, optimization of Mn(OAc)3 mediated α′-acetoxylation ofenones and reaching its maximum potential has a great importance from a syntheticand economical point of view.In the second part of the thesis, 1,2,4-trisubstituted pyrrole derivatives were the targetmolecules to be synthesized. Although there are quite a number of methods availablefor the synthesis of pyrroles, most of them involve multistep synthetic operationswhich lower the overall yield. There are limited reports on the preparation of theenantiomers of pyrrole derivatives having 1-N directly linked to the stereogeniccenter. Thus, developing a new synthetic method for the efficient preparation ofpolysubstituted pyrroles without racemization still remains an attractive goal.
