Özet
Dünyada sanayileşme süreci ile birlikte ortaya çıkan çevre sorunları ciddi boyutlara ulaşınca,gelişmiş ülkeler tarafından bu sorunları önleyici ya da azaltıcı çareler aranmaya başlanmıştır.Sanayileşmeye paralel olarak yaşanan bu çevre sorunları, sürdürülebilir kalkınma kavramınınöneminin zamanla daha iyi anlaşılmasına neden olmuştur. Çevre konusunda artan bu hassasiyetsonucunda, ?çevresel muhasebe yaklaşımı? ortaya çıkmıştır.Bu çalışmada, çevresel muhasebe yaklaşımı ve dünyadaki uygulamaları konu olarak alınmıştır.Çevresel muhasebe makro ve mikro ekonomik açıdan ele alınmış, uygulamaları da budoğrultuda irdelenmiştir. Ayrıca, ormancılık sektörü açısından çevresel muhasebe incelenmiş vedünyadaki uygulamalarından örnekler verilmiştir.Tezin Yabancı Dildeki Adı : Environmental Accounting and Its ApplicationsWhen environmental problems that appeared together with industrialization process havereached serious levels round the world, preventative or decremental solutions for theseproblems have been sought by developed countries. Environmental accounting was discussed in terms of macro andmicroeconomic aspects and its applications were investigated in this context. On the other hand,this approach has also been examined in terms of forestry sector and examples from itsapplications around the world were presented.
