Özet

Bu araştırmada, Burdur ilinde görev yapan sınıf öğretmenlerinin görev yerlerine, cinsiyetlerine ve kıdem yıllarına göre öğrencilerle iletişimlerinde farklılık olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. 2006?2007 öğretim yılında Burdur ilinde 761 sınıf öğretmeni görev yapmaktadır. Bu öğretmenlerin 194'ü il merkezinde, 271'i ilçe merkezinde ve 296'sı köylerde görev yapmaktadır. Öğretmenlerin 277'si kadın, 484'ü erkektir. Araştırmanın verileri geliştirilen ölçek ile elde edilmiştir. Ölçeğin ön uygulaması küme yöntemi ile seçilen il merkezindeki 44, ilçe merkezindeki 41 ve köylerde çalışan 33 olmak üzere toplam 118 öğretmene yapılmıştır. Ancak verilerle ilgili eksik bilgilerden dolayı 103 öğretmenden elde edilen bilgiler değerlendirmeye dahil edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler ile geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Ölçek evrenin tümüne ulaştırılmış ancak 441 kişi yanıtlamıştır. Bu öğretmenlerin 118'i il merkezinde, 137'si ilçe merkezinde ve 186'sı köylerde görev yapmakta olup 151'i kadın, 290'ı erkektir. Verilerin analizinde ANOVA istatistik tekniği ve t-testi kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, il merkezinde çalışan sınıf öğretmenleri ile ilçe merkezi ve köylerde çalışan sınıf öğretmenlerinin öğrencilerle iletişimleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Aritmetik ortalamalar incelendiğinde il merkezinde çalışan sınıf öğretmenlerinin öğrencilerle daha olumlu iletişim kurdukları söylenebilir. Buna karşın ilçe merkezi ile köylerde çalışan sınıf öğretmenlerinin öğrencilerle iletişimleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır. Sınıf öğretmenlerinin cinsiyetlerine göre öğrencilerle iletişimleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Kadın öğretmenlerin öğrencilerle iletişimde erkek öğretmenlere göre daha olumlu davrandıkları söylenebilir. Sınıf öğretmenlerinin kıdem yıllarına göre öğrencilerle iletişimleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır.

In this research, it is analysed that whether the class teachers working in Burdur have different communication with their students considering their working places, gender and length of service. In 2006-2007 academic year, 761 class teachers are working in Burdur. 194 of these teachers are working in city center, 271 of them are working in county center and 296 of them are working in villages. 277 of these teachers are female and 484 of them are male. The data of this research is got by a developed scale. Pre application of this scale is applied to totally 118 teachers selected by cluster method. 44 of these teachers are working in city center, 41 are working in county center and 33 are working in villages. Because of the missing information, the data of 103 teachers was taken into evaluation. With the obtained data realibility and validity researches are made. The scale is handed out to whole field under survey but 441 people answered it. 118 of these teachers are working in city center, 137 of them in county center and 186 of them in villages. 151 of these teachers are female and 290 of them are male. In the analysis of data ANOVA statistic technique and t-test are used. The analysises show that there is a meaningful difference between the communication styles of teachers working in the city centers and teachers working in the county centers and villages. When the arithmetic average is examined it can be said that class teachers working in the city center have a more positive communication with their students. But there is not a meaningful difference between the communication of teachers working in the county centers and villages with their students. A meaningful difference is found in the communication of teachers with their students according to teacher?s gender. It can be said that female teachers act more positively in their communication with their students than male teachers do. There is not a meaningful difference among class teachers in their communication styles according to their length of service.
