Özet
11 Eylül 2001'de ya ayan terör olaylarndan sonra ba ta Amerika'nn olmak üzere birçok Bat ülkesinin slam'a ve müslüman toplumlara bak nda çok ciddi de“i iklikler meydana gelmi tir. Yine bu terör olaylarnn neticesinde Hristiyan âleminde ?medeniyetler çat mas? tezi gündeme gelmi ve bu tez çerçevesinde yo”un tart malar meydana gelmi tir.11 Eylül'de ya anan terör olaynn neticesinde Amerika suçlu ilan etti“i devletlere müdahale etmi ve bunun bir neticesi olarak da bir takm sosyal ve kültürel de”i iklikler vukuu bulmu tur. slam, bu olaylar neticesinde Bat'da ve slam âleminde her yönüyle tart lmaya ba lam tr. Bu tart ma konularndan brincisini terör ve slam'n teröre bak olu turmu tur. Bununla beraber slam bilinen ve bilinmeyen yönleri ile de Batl ve müslüman aydnlar tarafndan masaya yatrlm ve de“i ik konularda slam'n bak açs önem kazanm tr. Özellikle slam ülkelerinde, slam'n sosyal hayat yansyan etkilerine kar bak açlarnda da bir takm de”i iklikler olmu tur. Bu ba“lamda ülkemizde de slam, özellikle aydnlarmzn ve siyaset adamlarnn birinci gündem maddesi olarak tart lmaya ba lam tr. Yine bu ba”lamda Cumhuriyetten bu yana tart lan, fakat bir türlü sonuca ba“lanamayan konular tekrar gündeme gelmi ve de”i en dünya konjektüründe çözüm aray larna gidilmi tir. Gündemde tart lan konular, okuyucu kitlesinin geni li“i ile dikkat çeken zaman gazetesinde de tart lm ve çe itili çözüm önerileri getirilmi tir. Konulara getirilen çözüm önerilerinde, dünyada meydana gelen fikri ve siyasi de”i imin etkisinin oldu"u gözlemlenmi tir

After the terrorist events on 11 september 2001 there occurred change of views in the United states and Europe regarding their attitudes towards Islamic Religion and Muslim Communities.As a result a famous thesis, the clash of Civillisations became a main agenda of the western communities. After that event, the United States took it as an opportunity to attack to the pariah states of the Middle East and elsewhere in order to put themunder strong pressure and to establish its domination on them. The Islamic Religion also took its share from this hostile atmosphere in the West.The great mistake as it is, Islam has mainly been argued from the point of its connection with terror and the point in which Islamic approach to it. This atmosphere took place in the West had also immense impacts on the Islamic Countries. The views of the intellectuals in these countries began to change with regard to the effects of Islam on social life. Turkey also took its share from this environment. In this regard Turkish enlightened and statesman began to discuss the place of Islam in society. Many main issues have also been taken by the wriets of daily Zaman paper which attracts a considerable numbe of readers. It is observed that while the writers of the Zaman have brought about their new solutions, it is clear that they have been affected by the change of political and ideological atmosphere taking place in the world.
