Özet
İİ ÖZET Bu araştırmanın amacı, evli bireylerin uyum düzeylerini etkileyen etmenleri incelemektir. Bu amaçla, araştırmada bireysel, ailesel ve sosyo- ekonomik olmak üzere 23 değişken ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklerini, Ankara merkez ilçelerindeki farklı sosyo-ekonomik düzeylerde bulunan 559 kadın, 541 erkek olmak üzere, 1100 evli birey oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada evli bireylerin uyum düzeylerine ilişkin bilgiler, ÖZGÜVEN (1976) tarafından geliştirilen“Hacettepe Kişilik Envanteri (HKE)”, evli bireylere ilişkin değişkenler hakkındaki bilgiler ise araştırıcı tarafından geliştirilen bir“anket”aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizi yapılmış, denencelerin test edilmesinde Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular şöyle özetlenebilir: 1. Araştırmada bireysel kategoride ele alınan (a) cinsiyet, (b) yaş,. (c) ilk evlenme yaşı, (d) sağlık durumu, (e) fiziki görünüşünden memnuniyet ve (f) eşinin fiziki görünüşünden memnuniyet, değişkenleri evli bireylerin uyum düzeyleri üzerinde önemli düzeyde etkili bulunmuştur. 2. Ailesel kategoride ele alınan değişkenlerden (a) evlilik biçimi, (b) ev işlerini paylaşma, (c) eşiyle duygu ve düşüncelerini paylaşma, (d) akraba ve yakınlarının desteği, (e) ailede yapılan sert tartışma ve kavga, (f) eşlerin akrabalık derecesi, (g) eşlerin çocuk eğitiminde anlaşmaları, (h) eşlerin cinsel yaşamda anlaşmaları, değişkenleri evli bireylerin uyum düzeyleri üzerindeIII önemli düzeyde etkili bulunmuştur. 3. Sosyo-ekonomik kategoride ele alınan (a) ailenin eşlerce algılanan sosyo-ekonomik düzeyi, (b) ailenin aylık gelirinin yeterlilik derecesi, (c) mesleki durum, (d) eşlerin ailenin aylık gelirine katkı derecesi, (e) öğrenim düzeyi ve (f) yaptığı işten memnuniyet, değişkenleri evli bireylerin uyum düzeyleri üzerinde önemli düzeyde etkili bulunmuştur. Araştırmada, (a) bireylerin geçirdiği evlilik sayısı, (b) eşler arasındaki yaş farkı ve (c) çocuk sayısı değişkenleri evli bireylerin uyum düzeyleri üzerinde önemli düzeyde etkili bulunmamıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular tartışılmış ve araştırma sonuçlarına dayalı olarak aile ile ilgili kişi, kurum ve kuruluşlara bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

IV SUMMARY The purpose of this study is to investigate the fac tors that influence the adjustment levels of married individuals. In order to achieve this purpose, twenty- three variables regarding to individual, familial and socio-economic status have been studied. The sample of the study consisted of totally 1100 maried indivuduals including 559 women and 541 men from different socia-economic classes, living in the central disricts of Ankara. The adjustment levels of married individuals have been measured by Hacettepe Personality Inventory (HPI) developed by özgüven (1976), and the personal information of the individuals have been collected through a question naire developed by the researcher, himself. The statistical analysis of the data obtained through SYSTAT program. The hypoteses were tested using One Way Analysis of Variance. As a summary of the findings of the study; 1. The variables such as (a) sex, (b) age, (c) the age in the first marriage, (d) health condition (e) satis faction from sel f -appearance, and (f) satisfaction from the physical appearance of ones spouse were statistically influential upon the adjustment levels of the married individuals. 2. Regarding to the variables of familial category, (a) the type of marriage, (b) sharing the housework, (c) mutual sharing of feelings and opinions, (d) support provided by relatives or close friends, (e) serious dis-cussion and quarrels in the family, (f) the degree of kin ship of the spouses, (g) the agreement of the spouses on child education, (h) satisfaction in sexsual life, have been found statistically meaningfull effecting upon the adjustment levels of married individuals. 3. In terms of socio-economical variables, (a) the socio-economic level of the family as perceived by the married individuals, (b) the sufficiency of the monthly income of the family, (c) professional status, (d) the degree of the contribution of the husband/wife to the mon- thy income of the family, (e) education level of married individuals, (f) satisfaction f rcgp. tlie present job have been found significant on the adjustment levels of married individuals. In this study, the variables such as (a) the number of marriages that people have gone through, (b) the age difference of married couples, and (c) the number of children, have not been statistically significant upon the adjustment levels of married individuals. The findingsof the study have been discussed and in terpreted and some proposals conserning the individuals, institutions and foundations have been made.
