Özet
SUMMARY The study area takes place in Anatolits'zone. Formations which belong to the period between Palozoik and Quaterner are surfaced in Ilgın coal region. They are probably covered with the comprehensive limestone series from Jura - Cretaceous age without harmony in Meso- zoic. The region in which the coal beds have been formed is from Low - Pliosen age that this serie is separated into three facieses in it because of the litological differences. In the low part of the coal, there is a layer which is formed with the claystone and marns, lignite serie and clay, clay bearing limestone and after this layel there is a higt-part serie which can be seen in an ordered style with silt belts. In the higher layer the alluvial fillings which have been stored in Quaterner with debris coverings from Upper Pliosen age take place. After becoming the comprehansive and metamorphic lime stones which are forming the base, the region has been becoming soil in the last part of Oligosen. The places which became soil have been depre ciated densely under the effects of the climate factor by the time. In the Middle Miosen, the deprecition and the sedimantation have continued. In the Upper Miosen, a lake has covered the region. Around the region the low soiled sedimantary, in the middle part of the region the laked sedimantary have precipitated in this period. Climate changes which happened in the Upper Miosen and the movements in the lake surface have prepared the marshy manner; in this period the Haremi coal mines have started to become. In Pliosen the lake bed has risen with the tectonic movements and become soil. In this period the high soiled fliviatil sedimantaries have covered the mostly part of the laked sedimantaries. At the end parts of Pliosen the sedimantation in this region has come to an end by depending on the increasing. In Pleistosen, by the effects of the dikes in the western part, southern part and partially eastern part, the region has been pressed down and Ilgın depression has become. This depression has become anew base level and it has caused a new sedimantation area. Around the depression area, the assemblaged conic and spiral forms have been fig ured. The Ilgın region is one of the new region which developed during Neogen and Quaterner. In the northern part of the Ilgın depression, the Ilgın lake has become. Part of the lake in the north of Haremi Village has been trans formed as an agricultural area by being caused to shrivel in 1963. Not being seen old coast marks like precipice, terrace around the Hgin lake strengthenes the idea that this lake has became after the fluvial periods. The coal mines in this region have got an importance because of the economic development of the region. The Ilgın lake is also important because of the providing fresh water and watering the agricultural are as. Hot water sources which depend on the precipice line in the west of the region help the economy in this area as health tourism. The lignite reservations in our country which we can know are approxiametely 85 billion tons. Most parts of these are low quality. Ac cording to the sulphure amount, their value is also low. Ilgın coals have also the same characteristic and 18 000 000 tons reservations. In Ilgın - Haremi coal mine land, the covered coal percen- tage is 1/4 and is still providing open-styled producing system. For annihilat ing the waste soil material, the temporary river beds are being used. It is selling commercially as crude. There is water 45 percent in original coal and its calory is very low, so its economic valuse is also low. Ac cording to the drying tests in the shade anol the bricked tests without binding agent which are made by MTA, it has been proved that this coal can be used for heating and can produce heat over than 4000 K Cal/kg. The search of economic value of the Ilgın coal mines will lead the usage of the low caloric coals in this area.
