Özet
Bu çalışma, Manisa ilinde karşılaşılan bitki koruma yöntemlerinin uygulamadaki sorunlarının belirlenmesi amacıyla ele alınmıştır. Bu amaçla 2008 yılında çalışma alanında 50 adet zirai ilaç bayiine 42 soru, 75 adet üreticiye 37 soru ve 50 adet teknik elemana 43 sorudan oluşan anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre üreticilerin %48 i bitki koruma konularındaki tavsiyeleri ilgili teknik elemanlardan alırken, %52 si ilaç bayi ve komşu üreticilerden almışlardır. Üreticilerden %64 ünün etikette belirtilen doz oranında ilaç kullandıkları, %65 inin boş ilaç ve gübre atıklarını yakıp imha ettikleri, %72 sinin ilaçlamadan sonra gereken bekleme süresine uyarak mahsulünü hasat ettikleri ve %50 sinin ilaç uygulamaları sırasında eldiven, maske, gözlük gibi herhangi bir koruyucu önlem aldıkları ortaya çıkmıştır.Çiftçiler bitki koruma sorunlarının çözümünde genellikle kimyasal savaş yöntemini tercih etmekte olup, bilinçsiz pestisit uygulamaları beraberinde insan ve çevre sağlığı açısından birçok olumsuzlukları gündeme getirmektedir.Çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlar insan ve çevresel beklentiler açısından değerlendirilerek çözüm önerileri tartışılmıştır.

This study, aims to establish the problems about plant protection practices in Manisa Province. In this research, a survey (in the form of interview) was carried out in 2008 with 50 agrochemical dealers 42 questions, 75 farmers 37 questions and 50 technical experts 43 questions in this field. According to the results, while 48% of the growers followed the suggestions and advices about plant protection practices made by the related technical experts, 52% of them have followed pesticide dealers and neighbour growers, etc. On the other hand, 64 % of the growers used pesticide dosage which is indicated in the label. 65% of the growers dispose pesticides and fertilizer wastes; 72% of them harvested their products obeying post harvest intervals (PHI) indicated on the label instructions. During the pesticide treatments 50% of the growers have obeyed the protective measures.Growers usually preferred to chemical control methods for common plant protection problems. Use of pesticides cause frequently serious problems for human health and environmental pollution.Results were evaluated in the frame of human and environmental prospects and some recommendations were discussed.
