Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, biyoloji öğretiminde kavram haritalarının etkin kullanımı ile öğretme ve öğrenme sürecini desteklemek, zenginleştirmek ve genişletmek, biyoloji derslerinde kavram haritaları kullanımını öğrencilerin başarıları, kavram haritalarına yönelik tutumları ve öğretilen bilgilerin akılda kalıcılığı açısından değerlendirmektir.Araştırma ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneysel modelde yapılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarını Isparta ili Şarkikaraağaç ilçesindeki Anadolu lisesi ve Anadolu öğretmen lisesinde öğrenim gören ve yansız olarak seçilen on birinci sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. Araştırmaya deney grubu 21, kontrol grubu 24 öğrenci olmak üzere, toplam 45 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmada ?boşaltım sistemi? ünitesi anlatılmıştır. Bu ünite kontrol grubuna geleneksel anlatım yöntemi ile anlatılırken deney grubuna kavram haritasına dayalı öğretim tekniği kullanılarak anlatılmıştır.Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, güvenirlik katsayısı (? = 0.78 ) olan, 45 sorudan oluşan biyoloji başarı testi ve kavram haritası tutum ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Gruplar arasındaki farklılığı tespit etmek için biyoloji başarı testi uygulamadan önce ve sonra ön test ve son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Başarı düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla uygulanan testlere ait veriler, SPSS paket programından yararlanılarak, bağımsız gruplar t-testi analiz modeliyle değerlendirilmiştir.Araştırma sonunda geleneksel yöntem ile kavram haritaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farka rastlanmıştır( p

The purpose of this study is, to support and advance the learning and teaching process by using concept maps in biology education, and to evaluate the use of concept maps in terms of, success of students, students? attitudes related with concept map, and memorability of learning.Study was done in experimental model with pretest-final test control groups. The students in the experimental group and the control group were selected objectively among students of Anatolian High School and Anatolian Teacher High School in Şarkikaraağaç, Isparta. 45 students participated the study as 21 students in experimental group and 24 students in control group.The issue of urinary system was given to the students in this study. This issue was given to the control group with traditional teaching method and to experimental group with teaching method based on concept map.In this study, biology achievement test consists of 45 questions which reliability coefficient was (? = 0.78 ) and concept map attitude scale used to gather data. Pretest and final test was performed before and after the biology achievement test to determine the difference between groups. Data of tests was evaluated with Independent Samples“t”test by use of SPSS packaged software to determine the success level.At the end of research, statistically significant difference was discovered between traditional teaching method and teaching method based on concept map ( P
