In this study named“Persian-Turkish In Rhyme Dictionaries and Dictionary of Şâhidî”first, in rhyme dictionary is described and all in rhyme dicti onaries in Turkish Literature are classified. The number of in rhyme dictionaries is determined as 63 and classified in ten groups which are Persian-Turkish (24), Persian-Arabic-Turkish (14), Arabic- Turkish (12), Persian-Persian (l),Arabic-Persian(5), Turkish-Greec (2), Turkish- French (1), Turkish-Bulgarian (1), Turkish-Armenian (1) and Others(2). Afterwards knowledge is given about the life of Şâhidî Ibrahim Dede. Şâhidî is known as from Muğla, his birth date is determined as 875/1470 and death date as 957/1 550.1. e he is a poet of XVI. century. He got the first knowledge from his father.He had a got Persian. He got scientific education in Istanbul and Bursa.But he was not a good poet and he didin't assert this.Because he thought poem as a tool for spreading and advertising Mevlevi. In spite of these,with his domination on metrical, genuineness and especially Turkish words and idioms that he used proved that he was an important artist. He was affected fron Hz.Mevlâna and his sheik Divanî Mohammed Çelebi in his poems. He discussed Sufizm and Mevlevi perfectly.He wrote also with sylla bic meter. Şâhidî 's written works that we could determine are: 1 -Turkish Dîvan, 2- Persian Dîvan, 3-Gülşen-i Vahdet, 4-Gülşen-i Tevhîd, 5-Gülşen-i Esrar, 6-Tuhfe-i Şâhidî, 7-Gülistan Şerhi, 8-Gülşen- i İrfan, 9-Müşâhedât -ı Şâhidiye, 10-Sohbet- nâme, 11-Mevlîd, 1 2-Tıraş-nâme, 13-Işk-nâme. In the stud)' especially“Tuhfe-i Şâhidî”is investigated. Şâhidî who was completely a devotee of Mevlâna and e captive of Mesnevi, wrote his Tuhfe for being understandable of Mevlâna and for being comprehensible of Mesnevi.“Tuhfe-i Htisam”by his father that Şâhidî read when he was a child.affected the constitution of this written work.Tuhfe begins with a mesnevi that consisits of 61 verse.Then,there are 26 sections. These sections are written in“nazm”type and vary in 5-20 verse. 27. section consists of 136 verse.Lastly section“Der-beyân-ı Tarih-i Şâhidî”consists of 6 verse.Here writing date of this book is stated as 920(1 5 14). As result, we see that the number of verse in Tuhfe-i Şâhidî is 452. With introduction section being accepted as 28 sections, various forms are used in every section of it.We see that Hezec Bahri, used mostly.The poet has used generally“full rhyme”and occasionally“afflisent rhyme”. Tuhfe begins with a Tevhîd first.Creation of this world and human being is told. His regards and rityal prayer (salât) is sended to the Prophet Mohammed.Later his father is told about and he sad that read Tuhfe-i Hüsam and had a vast information about dictionary science. Şâhidî wrote his tuhfe for people beginning to learn language. He told the importance of poem and god reading of poem.He took into consideration that his language becomes gramatically sipler and lexically purer. There are many arkaik Turkish words in this written work.This is an idication of his simple and pure language. Many poems were affected from Şâhidî when writing rhyme dicti- onary.He is a precedent in this subject. 5 copy, one of them is printed,are investigated in this study. We think that ther are more than 200 copies. The oldest copy that we investigated is dated H.920.Copy differences are inducated in comparative text. At the end of the study Persian words, idioms,arkaik Turkish words and proper nouns indexes are placed.
