Özet

Bu çalışmada, fungusit olarak kullanılan benomil'in karaciğer ve böbrek dokuları üzerindeki etkileri ile andioksidan olarak kullanılan ? -lipoik asit'in ve kondroitin-4-sülfat karaciğer ve böbrek dokuları üzerindeki koruyucu etkileri incelendi.Benomil (200 mg/kg), ? -lipoik asit (200 mg/kg) ve kondroitin-4-sülfat (25 mg/kg) 5 hafta boyunca haftada bir kez olmak üzere intraperitonal (IP) injeksiyon yoluyla uygulandı.Deney öncesi ve deney sonu hayvanların vücut ağırlıkları karşılaştırıldığında, kontrol, benomil+ ? -lipoik asit, benomil+ kondroitin-4-sülfat ve benomil+ ? -lipoik asit+kondroitin-4-sülfat gruplarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir artış (p

In this study, effects of benomyl, which is used as fungucide, on liver and kidney tissue, the protective effects of ? -lipoic acid and chondroitin-4-sulphate, which are used as antioxidants, on liver and kidney tissues are examined.Benomyl (200 mg/kg), ? -lipoic acid (200 mg/kg) and chondroitin-4-sulphate (25 mg/kg) are applied by intraperiotenal injection once in each week for a period of 5 weeks.It was determined that body weigths of animals in the groups of control, benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid, benomyl+ chondroitin-4-sulphate and benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid+ chondroitin-4-sulphate were significantly increased (p ? 0.005, p ? 0.01, p ? 0.02) although the body weights of animals in the group of benomyl weren?t any significant change.Spleen weight was determined to be decreased in benomyl group (p ? 0.001), there was no difference in another groups when compared with control group, was observed a significant decrease in weight of testes in benomyl group when compared with control group (p ? 0.001), and a significant increase in another assay groups when compared with benomyl group (p ? 0.01). No change in liver, kidney and heart weight was observed among groups.Aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase and lactate dehidrogenase activities were found to be significantly increased in benomyl group when compared with control group (p ? 0.005). These enzyme activities were observed to significantly decrease in benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid, benomyl+ chondroitin-4-sulphate and benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid+ chondroitin-4-sulphate groups when compared with benomyl group (p ? 0.005). It was observed there were almost no differences between the gammaglutamyl transferase levels of all groups.Liver, kidney and serum malondialdehyde levels were observed to increase significantly in benomyl group when compared with control group (p ? 0.032, p ? 0.001). Kidney and serum malondialdehyde levels in benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid, benomyl+ chondroitin-4-sulphate and benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid+ chondroitin-4-sulphate groups were determined to decrease significantly when compared with benomyl group. However serum malondialdehyde levels in benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid+ chondroitin-4-sulphate group was observed to decrease significantly when compared with control group (p ? 0.001, p ? 0.01).Superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase and catalase activities in both liver and kidney were determined to decrease significantly in benomyl group when compared with control group, there were observed to increase significantly in benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid, benomyl+ chondroitin-4-sulphate and benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid+ chondroitin-4-sulphate groups when compared with benomyl group (p ? 0.05). Liver and kidney superoxide dismutase, liver and kidney catalase liver and catalase kidney enzyme activities in animal of benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid+ chondroitin-4-sulphate group were determined to increase significantly when compared with control group (p ? 0.05).Although various histopathological results were observed in the liver and kidney tissues in rats of benomyl group, histopathological effect on the liver and kidney tissues of rats in the groups of benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid, benomyl+ chondroitin-4-sulphate and benomyl+ ? -lipoic acid+ chondroitin-4-sulphate group wasn?t observed.
