Özet
Bu araştırmada, Rönesans'ın başlangıcına kadar (yaklaşık olarak M.S. 1250) zaten dinlerce etkilenmiş olan resim sanatındaki dinsel kompozisyonun geçirdiği evreler ve bunların Rönesans (M.S. 1250-1530) sürecindeki özellikler incelenmiştir. Bizans, Gotik, ve Roman sanatlarında ve kuzey ve güney Avrupa Rönesans döneminde üretilmiş olan dinsel resimlerin kompozisyonları tarihsel (kronolojik) olarak etüt edilmiştir.Hristiyan toplumlarda din, daha başlangıcından itibaren, bu toplumların yaşam tarzını şekillendiren çok önemli bir etken olduğu gibi, resim sanatını da yönlendirmiştir. Rönesans sürecinde ressamlar, Antik Yunan ve Roma sanat anlayışını perspektif bilgileri ile takviye ederek, zamanla, Katolik Kilisesi önde gelenlerinin sanat anlayışını benimsemişler ve Katolisizm'in Tanrı inancını resimlerinde işlemiş ve yüceltmişlerdir. Böylelikle, Rönesans döneminde dinsel temalar artmış ve gelişmiştir. Tevrat ve İncil öykülerinden esinlenerek yapılan resimler, Rönesans resimlerinin çoğunu ve daha önemlerini oluşturur. Ayrıca, Rönesans devrinde vaki olan felsefi, politik, ve coğrafi değişimler ve perspektifin de gelişmesi, sanatçıların, antik esrleri ve doğayı daha yakından incelemelerine neden olmuştur.Rönesans resim anlayışı, bazı kurallara, dengeye, daha kusursuz formlar yaratmaya dayalı olarak gelişirken, orantı ve perspektif kullanımı, Rönesans ressamlarını, matemetikle ilgilenmeye yöneltmiş, böylece, geometri, mimari simetri, ve dengeli görüntüler resimlerde yer almış, formlar daha da net hale gelmiştir. Rönesans ressamları, çeşitli doğal görüntüleri daha realist hale getirmek için, onların ana yapılarını analiz etmek zorunda kalmışlardır.Rönesans'tan sonra da Hristiyanlığın ve diğer dinlerin, resim sanatını etkilemeye devam ettiğini, ancak sanatçıların daha ziyade özgürleştiğini görmekteyiz.ANAHTAR KELİMELER: Hristiyanlık, İncil, din, Rönesans, kompozisyon

The religion-oriented compositions utilized in the art of painting had already been influenced at various degrees by several prominent religions until the beginning of the Renaissance (approximately A.D. 1250); this study examines the variations and their salient charecteristics of such compositions during the Renaissance (aprox. A.D. 1250-1530) years. The compositions of the religious paintings which bad been produced during Bizanthium, Gothic, and Roman artistic activities and northern and southern European Renaissance period are studied.Religion had become a very significant influence that defined the way of life of the Christian communities and also shaped the art of painting. The Renaissance painters, enriching the art of painting by using perspektive-methods adopted the artistic conceptualisation belongingto the prominent personalities of the Catholic Church, and described and glorified the mannerism of worshiping God prescribed by Catholicism. Hence, during the Renaissance, religious themes increased and evolved. Paintings which have been inspired by the stories recited in the Bible and the Torah constitute the majority and the more superior ones of the Renaissance paintings. Further, the philosophical, political, and geographical alterations that occured during the Renaissance, combined with the advancements in perspective, led the artists to better examine the antiquated works and nature itself.The Renaissance way of painting, while evolving through adhering certain rules, balance, creating less erronuous forms, the utilisation of proportion and perspective methods obliged the Renaissance painters to take an interest in mathematics, and thus, geometry, architectural symmetry, and well-balanced shapes appeared in the paintings, and forms and figures became better defined. The Renaissance painters, in order to reflect more realistically the various manifestations of nature, had to analize their essential structures.Following the years of Renaissance, Christianity and other religions still continue to influence the art of painting; however, artists become more independent trough time.KEYWORDS: Christianity, Bible, religion, Renaissance, composition
