Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilköğretim okullarında 2. kademe Sosyal Bilgiler derslerinde coğrafya konularının öğretiminde karşılaşılan problemleri, Kilis ve Gaziantep illerinde ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenlerinin görüşleri doğrultusunda tespit ederek, çözüm önerileri sunmak amacıyla yapılmıştır.Araştırmanın çalışma sahasını oluşturan Kilis ve Gaziantep illerinde 2009- 2010 eğitim- öğretim yılında 6 ve 7. sınıf sosyal bilgiler derslerine giren 51 sosyal bilgiler öğretmenine, 40 ifadeden oluşan bir anket uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan anket formu 2 bölümden oluşmaktadır. I. Bölümde ankete katılan öğretmenler hakkında kişisel bilgiler elde edilmeye çalışılmıştır. II. Bölümde yeni ilköğretim 6 ve 7.sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersi öğretim programına ilişkin ifadeler, ders işlenişi, yöntem ve tekniklere, ders kitabı ve araç-gereç kullanımına ilişkin ifadelere yer verilmiştir. Anket sonuçları bilgisayarda SPSS istatistik programı ve Excel programı yardımıyla yüzde ve frekans dağılımları, t ve Anova test teknikleri kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Anlamlılık testlerinde p<0.05 düzeyi esas alınmıştır.Araştırma sonucunda, yenilenen müfredat programı ışığında sosyal bilgiler dersleri coğrafya konularının öğretiminde program, süre, yöntem ve teknikler, uygulama, ders kitapları ve araç gereç açısından bazı sorunlar ortaya konmuş ve çözüm önerileri getirilmeye çalışılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to define the problems encountered in teaching subjects of Geography at second grade in primary schools,considering the opinions of the teachers of Social Studies at primary schools in Kilis and Gaziantep and also to find out what can be done to eliminate these problems in the light of renewed syllabus in 2005.A questiomaine composed of 40 questions has been applied to fifty-one teachers of Social Studies who generate the research population and teach Social Studies lesson at sixth and seventh classes at primary schools Kilis and Gaziantep in 2009-2010 academic year. The questionnaire form wich has been used in the research in composed of 2 parts.In the first part,it is aimed to gather personnal information about the teachers participated in this survey.In the second part,it is aimed to gain knowdledge by asking questions about new teaching programme at social studies lessons at sixth and seventh classes at primary schools and questions about teaching methodologies and techniques of social stuies lessons in the part and questions about the use of course book and materials in the fourth part.The results of the questionnaire,percentage and periodicity range have been analysed by the help of SPSS statistical programme and Excel programme and by the use of t and Anova test techniques.In meaningfulness tests,p<0,05 level is graunded. In the result of the study,some problems related with programme,duration,methodology and techniques,implementation,course boks and materials in subjects of, Geography Social Studies lessons have been put foorward and solution propasals have been proposed.
