-113- SUMMARY In this study I tried to evaluate cultural structure of the circassions and what is the changes of their cultural structures. The circassions are living in the Uzunyayla (Long plateau) region. Uzunyayla region is located between Sivas and Kayseri cities. Circassions are send into exile from Caucasia by Russia in 1864. At the end of the Russia and Caucasia war they migrated different country of the Middle East and Europe and especially Anatolia. Different references said that the circassion population is approximetely 1.500.000. people during the migration in Anatolia. After the migration the circassion are located in the different regiens at the Anatolia by the government. The Uzunyayla region is most important region for the circassions. Because in this area the population density of the circassion is higher then the other areas. In Uzunyayla region 65 villages are located. As the other region in Uzunyayla also great important people migrated from village to city but still great amount of people are living in this area. In this study 7 villages was chosen as a sample of this study from 65 villages. 160 house chief was chosen from this 7 village and application from was applied this people and the results of this application were eveluated. The first section of this study includes,“the aim of the study”,“the method and the tecnigues which are used”,“population and sample”, and also“hypothesis of the study”. In the second section I try to explain“concepts”which are used in the study. I also tried to explain the circassions and their cultural structure. And what is the economic structure of the circassions in the Uzunyayla region and the changes of their cultural structure before and after migration. In the third section 7 villages which are chosen as sample of this study tried to eveluate the“socio-cultural structure”, economic and geogrephical structure of the villages. The forth section includes application form, the guestionnaire, inventions and comments. In the fifth section the results of the data are eveluated. And also in this section includes the“references”,“application form”,“geogrephical map and photos”.-114- According to the results of this study we saw that circassions try to keep their cultural structures. These cultural structures are“wedding ceremony”,“social interactions”,“using circassion language”,“marriage with circassions”,“respect to the old people”, funeral ceremony“, ”traditions and customs“. At the same time some of the cultural structures of the circassions are changed. These are ”tradition and customs“, ”music“, ”not using the horse“, ”wedding ceremony". Although some of the cultural structures of the circassions are changes in Uzunyayla region. The circassions try to protect their cultural structure since 1864. This study is the first one which is done in the Uzunyayla region about circassions. Of course the study has some of the deficiency. But we hope that if some of the person is going to make investigations about this subject and they use this study as a references. Circassion culture is the most important step in Turkey's cultural structure. So this culture must be study. This is very important for the Turkey and it's cultural structure.
