Özet
163 ÖZET Araştırmanın girişinde, operanın doğuşu ve Cumhuriyet dönemine kadar olan gelişimi anlatıldı. Araştırmada tarihsel yöntem kullanıldı. Araştırmanın evreni olarak Cumhuriyet'in ilanından sonra Türk Bestecilerinin bestelediği operalar kabul edilmiştir. Araştırmada kullanılan veriler bestecilerle görüşme yolu ile elde edilmiştir. Bulguların yer aldığı üçüncü bölümde sahnelenen Türk operalarında görev alan sanatçılar, operaların konuları, bestecilerin hayatları ve eserleri, sahnelenen Türk operalarının kamuoyundaki yankılan yer almıştır. Sonuç olarak Türk operalarım istenen seviyeye getirebilmek için kitle iletişim araçları yoluyla operanın halka tanıtılması, devletin bestecilerimize maddi imkânlar sağlaması gerektiği önerilmiştir.

164 SUMMARY At the introduction of this research, the developernent of the opera from its beginning to the time of the Turkish Republic ¥fas explained. The research was done in historical method. The content of this research was determined to be the Turkish operas that were composed after the decîeration of the Republic. The data were obtained by means of interviewing the composers. in the third part, the Turkish operas and their composers are mentioned with their biographies and their other compositions as well as the artists that participated in the performances ; also quotations from publications about the operas are added. Finally, this research showes that, the cultural Politics of the goverment was insufficient to prosper the Turkish opera. In order to bring the Turkish opera to the desired level and to make it more public, it is necessary to make more use of the mass medi* and the opera composers should have more financial support from the goverment.
