Özet
Ankara ilinde yapılan bu araştırma, erkeğin öğrenim düzeyi, yaşı, sahip olunan çocuk sayısı ve yaşı, evlilik süresi, gibi demografik değişkenler ile konut sahibi olma durumu, yaşanılan konutun mülkiyet durumu, işsizlik süresi, işsiz kalmadan önceki işinin ne olduğu, ailede çalışan bir kişinin olup olmadığı, ailedeki bireylerin sosyal güvencesinin olup olmadığı, şu anda geçimini ne ile sağladığı konularında işsizliğin evlilik uyumuna ve aile ilişkilerine etkilerini saptayabilmek amacıyla planlanmış ve yürütülmüştür. Araştırma kapsamına T.C. Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı Türkiye İş Kurumu Çankaya Şube Müdürlüğü'ne başvuran 308 evli işsiz erkek ve bunlardan 60 işsiz erkeğin eşleri alınmıştır. Araştırma kapsamına alınan katılımcılardan, işsizliğin aile ilişkilerine etkilerinin en az olumsuz olduğu grup; üniversite mezunları, bir çocuğu olanlar, 3-7 yıl arasında evli olanlar, 30-34 yaş grubunda olanlar, ev sahipleri ve lojmanda ikamet edenler, 1 yıldan az süredir işsiz olanlardır. İşsizliğin aile ilişkilerine etkilerine ilişkin katılımcı görüşleri çocukların yaş grupları, eşin yaşı, eşin eğitim düzeyi, işsiz kalmadan önceki işindeki durumu, işsiz kalmadan önceki işi, ailede çalışan kişinin olup-olmaması, ailede çalışan kişinin sosyal güvencesinin olup-olmaması ve şu anda geçimi sağlama durumu açısından önemli bir farklılık yaratmamıştır (p>0,05). Araştırmada erkeklerin ?çiftler uyum ölçeğinden? aldıkları puan ortalaması işsizlik öncesi 115,81, işsizlik sonrası 74,03'tür. Kadınlarda işsizlik öncesi 105,30 iken işsizlik sonrası 84,96'dır (p<0,001). Ölçek alt boyutları söz konusu olduğunda, erkeklerde tüm boyutlarda, kadınlarda ise ?bağlılık? alt boyutu dışındaki diğer boyutlarda işsizlik sonrası uyum puanları ortalamaları işsizlik öncesine göre düşmüştür. Kadınlarda ?bağlılık? boyutunda işsizlik sonrası uyum ölçek puanı işsizlik öncesine göre yükselmiştir.

The purpose of the present research, which was conducted in Ankara, is to examine the effect of unemployment on marriage and family relations by determining families? status of house possession, house ownership status , the duration of unemployment, the type of work before unemployment, whether or not there is any employed person in the family, the social security status of family members, and how the family makes a living in relation to demographic variables such as educational status and the ages of the men, the number of children and their ages and the year of the marriage. Three hundred and eight unemployed males who had applied to the Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Çankaya Branch Office of the Turkish Employment Agency, and the wives of 60 of these unemployed males constituted the population of the study. Among the participants the university graduates, families with one child, couples married for 3-7 years, 30-37 year-old individuals, house owners, families who live in public housing and males who have been unemployed for less than 1 year constitutes the less negatively affected group by unemployment. The participants? opinions on effects of unemployment on the family relationships did not show any significant differences in terms of the age group of the children, the age of the wife, the educational status of wife, the type of work before unemployment, the presence of another working person in the family, the social security status of the person working in the family and how the males make a living (p>0,05). The average of scores that the male participants obtained in the ?couple harmony scale? is 115.81 during a period of employment and 74.03 during a period of unemployment. For female participants the average is 105.30 during a period of employment, and 84.96 during a period of unemployment (p<0,001). Concerning the sub-dimensions of the scale, the average scores for harmony during unemployment decreased in all dimensions for male participants and in all sub-dimensions except the ?loyalty? sub-dimension for female participants. The harmony scale score in the ?loyalty? sub-dimension for female participants increased during a period of unemployment.
