Özet
Bu araştırmada ilkokul ve ortaokuldaki öğrencilere, soyut olan matematik dersini somutlaştırmak ve görselleştirmek düşüncesiyle matematik dersi programında yer alan bazı konular için resimler ve şekiller oluşturulması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın modeli, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan durum çalışması desenidir. Verilerin toplanmasında nitel araştırmalarda veri toplama yöntemlerinden biri olan doküman inceleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından okullarda okutulan matematik ders kitapları, dergiler, yayınlar, tezler ve araştırmacının hayal ürünü araştırmada kullanılan veri toplama araçlarıdır. Bu araştırmada ilkokul ve ortaokul müfredatında yer alan bazı matematik konularına ait (homojen olmayan bir şekilde) 45 resim bulunmaktadır. Resimlerin bir kısmı araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulmuştur. Dergilerden, kitaplardan, yayınlardan vs. alınan resimlerden bazıları aynen alınmış bazıları üzerinde ise uyarlama yapılmıştır. Resimlerle matematik öğretimi ile öğrencilerin matematiği daha kolay öğrenebileceği düşünülmektedir.

The main aim of this study is to form figures and schema for some topics under the curriculum of mathematics course on the basis of visualization and concretization of mathematics, the content of which is basicly abstract, for primary and secondary school students. The research design of the study is case study design, which is under the domain of qualitative research methods. In data collection, document analysis method, one of the qualitative data collection procedures, was used. The data collection tools of study is formed of the mathematic course books published and provided by Ministry of Education for schools, which are actively used by teachers; journals;publications; and theses. During the data collection procedure, the figures and schema were formed by there searcher through the reflection of her own imagination and logic by utilizing the data collection tools. In this study, there are 45 pictures, which are heterogeneously arranged, appealing to some mathematic topics in the content of the curriculum of primary and secondary school education. Some of the pictures were composed by the researcher. Some of the pictures collected from journals,books, publications..etc. were directly used while some of them were adapted. In general, the study suggests that students will learn Mathematics easier and effectively through the instruction of mathematics with pictures.
