The various biometric characters of Chondrostoma regium fish species (Anatolian Blacknoise Fish) in habited in the Middle F~rat Basin were investigated in this study. This fish is a dominant species of the research area. A total of 281 fishes were examined and the following results were obtained from the study. 1. Fishes older than six ag~ were not able to catch in the research habitat. The ratios of the different age groups ranging from to 6 young to old to all fish population were found as 7.8, 9.6, 36.6, 19.2, 17.4, 9.2 %, respectively. These results had indicuted that very young fishes would have escaped from the net opening and very big fishes would have decreased by natural mortulity. 2. The average“b”valve of the regression curve was found 3.01413 b is a reliable value for the condition of fishes in their natural habitat. 3. The condition factors from young to old fish for the different age groups were calculated as 0,842, 0.818, 0.800, 0.801, 0.857 and 0.874; respectively. The valves of the condition factor show that the increase in total lenght is higher in young fishes, but the growth in body weight is higher in old fishes. 4. Male and Female fishes reached sexual maturity at the and of the second and the third age, respectively. Individual egg number of a female fish according to the ages (3,4,5,6) was calculated as 5775, 5945, 12102 and 19681; respectively. The regression (b) and corelation (r) coefficients between the body weight-ovary weight were found as 0,154 and 0,994, respectively. The corelation coefficients between -the ovary weight-egg number were calculated as 0.997 and 0.990, respectively. 5. In this study a total of 161 fishes were cut to determine the meat y~eld of this fish species. The rations of the head, gut fins species. The ratios of the total body weight were 11,200 %, 13,390 %, 4,790 % and 70.39, respectively. According to the results obtained from this reaearch this fish species is very suitable for the meat yield, and its habitat is wonderfUl in terms of the nutritional value.
