SUMKAÎT CEBECİ, Suat.“Qualification of İmam-Eatip Highschool ' s Vocational Teachers”Eh. D. Thesis (Mvisor$,Prof. Dr. Beyza BİLGİN) Paralel with the developments in educational technology and communication technology the roles of teachers has "been changing. Teacher is not the one who has been fulfilling his classical responsibilities. The teacher is in the positi on to develop new attitudes and new hehaniours on the face of new developments in his relation to the students, school adminishation the various state social institutions..Among the responsibilities of the teacher are to educate the next goveretion in such a manner that they are the adjusted, bocaneed hard-working productive members of the society. tfithim this framework the qualif i cations of vocational teachers are studied. The research is mainly a surwey study which consists of four chapters. The first chapter deals wijfch the research problem. in the second chapter the findings of the research are presented under three headings. İn the first part of this the question one which deals with the teac hers in the subject of concern. The second part deals with responses of the students concerning students. In the third chapter the findings of the second chapter are interpreted and discussed. In the final and fourth chapter a summary of the study is given a condusion is reached and some suggestions are made. Shortly these are the results; The preparation of teachers before lessons and their classroom management activities were found low. The joining of teachers to social, cultural activities of school and commun ication with parents of students were found affirmative The pedagogic formation and professional knowledge of teachers which were taken before duty, are insuffient. But they are inquiring about their professional subjects more during duty. Because of teaching eight kinds of professional subjects the teachers perfor mance have been effected. The physical conditions of schools are insufficient and the students are coming from low socioeconomic part of society. Beeause of these reasons, the performance of teachers have been affected. »sök a 151
