Özet (Çeviri)

Since 2002, one political party from an Islamist background and origin was breaking all of the chains in Turkish Political History and in Turkish Political Culture, staying in top of the government for three terms as a dominant political power and as an electoral hegemon party. This political party is not someone else from the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and it has come out victorious from all of 2 referendum, 3 general and 2 local elections in row during this 9 years period with gradually Increasing its votes from 34.28% (in 2002 general elections) to 49.95% (in 2011 general elections) that means that nearly 1 out of 2 people is voting for AKP. However, despite this quite rare electoral success for a political party in Turkey from an Islamist background (even quite rare electoral success for other political parties from all other different backgrounds and origins that existed in Turkish Political History or that are still existing in Turkish Politics) there are still quite few books, researches and articles that examine, analyse or enlighten deeply and clearly the reasons and the factors behind the electoral success of AKP; even, most of them that have tried to analyse the factors behind AKP's electoral success, examine them by means of specific disciplines such as political science, sociology and communication or with limited point of views which directly focus on policies, party organization, leadership and communication strategies. Therefore, none of them could really succeed to enlighten the big picture that will clearly show us all of the reasons and the factors behind this huge electoral success. In this respect, this research, arguing that there are multiple dimensions In such electoral studies to analyse the reasons and the factors behind those types of electoral successes and mandates, will use the theory of political marketing as the main theory but it will also benefit from various disciplines such as political science and political communication in order to study and enlighten AKP's electoral success from multiple perspective.
