Since the realisation of the dimate change process, there has been a wide range of support in renewable energy technologies. Combined with economic factors, the expectation in near future is that the renewable technologies become competitive against fossil fuel resources. Consistent with this purpose the main factor is the cost reduction which is subject to the technologic advance. Regarding the needs oftoday's markets, innovation appears as a crucial facİ. From this perspective, for the betterment of the cost efficiencies in wind technologies, incremental (secondary) innovations are required. This study explores the impact of the secondary İnnovations on the cost reductions in Wind technologies. The research consists of four parts; fırst highlights the analysis of cost reductions, second is the analysis of technologic improvements, third assesses the relation of the fırst two parts and lastly wind energy is compared against the fossil fuel resources. According to the outcomes of the study, the costs are decreasing in the long term due to technologic advance via secondary innovations; however nidical İnnovations tend to be more costly in the short term and economic factors are not constant at all times. Hence, the process for deploying renewables seems to be progressing toward goals. Despite of that, many authors agree on more effort has to be put in renewable energy technologies to the extent of climate protection.
