This study intended to investigate user-friendly and on-time feedback to inform users about their electricity consumption. The study sought the answer of how electric consumption should be represented in order to reinforce residential users' awareness about efficient energy usage in U.S. residential houses. Firstly, user's awareness and knowledge level were measured in order to identify the target group who are interested in saving energy in their homes. Afterwards, users' electricity usage behavior and their intentions were captured. Examples of these types of solutions were investigated; the resulting information was used to build a design criteria. Initial ideas were generated and feedbacks on these ideas were sought from users. According to this feedback, the design final idea was generated.
