Although it is still very embryonic compared to the Conventional one, Islamic Finance has been growing rapidly in recent years. It is obvious that neither Conventional Finance will end in the near future, nor the rapid growth of Islamic Finance will stop. In fact, they have been functioning together in the same markets and countries despite many obstacles, including EU and Turkey. It is necessary to have the sufficient regulatory and technical base to make this integration as effective as possible. The aim of this paper is to reflect the current state of art of the literature in terms of main obstacles and possible remedies for this integration and make an analysis for the optimal solutions especially for the EU and Turkey. We find that main obstacles for the integration are the lack of common religious legal grounds and sufficient liquidity management tools. As result of the research, we conclude that creation of sufficient Islamic interbank markets, solid secondary markets for sukuk and a common corporate governance system for Islamic Finance institutions are the most required solutions for the mentioned main obstacles.
