How does organisational slack influence company performance? This study critically analyses the relationship between the three different slack resources: absorbed, potential and available (unabsorbed) slack by utilising the variables--cash flow/ sales (liquidity), total debt/ equity (leverage), research development/ sales (Innovation Investment) respectively, on organisational performance. The publicly-listed manufacturing companies are employed from European Free Trade Association (EFTA). The required data has been collected from Thomson One, DataStream and financial statements of the firms. In this research, descriptive analysis, Pearson's Correlation, T-test and Random Effects Model Regression Analysis has been used to test hypothesis and methodology. The findings show that various slack resources do positively contribute on the performance measurement of“return on assets”before and during the economic crisis.
