SUMMARY A Study on the Comparison of Sakız, Kivi rcı k and Dağlıç Sheep for Production Characteristics in Semi-Intensive Conditions This study was carried out at Bandırma Sheep Breeding Rese arch Institute to investigate some poduction characteristics of Kıvırcık, Sakız and Dağlıç breeds in semi-intensive condition and to compare genotypes in respect to production traits. For the reproduction traits such as oestrus, pregnancy, birth, lamb production and twin birth rates and lamb number per birth were 96.0 %, 78.0 %, 76.0 %, 88.0 X.15.7 % and 1.15 in Kı vırcık; 100 %, 45.8 %, 41.6 %, 91.6 %, 90.0 % and 2.20 in Sakız; 93.4 %, 73.9 %, 73.9 %, 76.0 %, 2.9 % and 1.03 in Dağlıç geno types respectively. Corrected weights at birth, 60 th day, 105 th day (weaning) and 180 th day were 4.24, 17.18, 27.36 and 36.26 kg in Kıvırcık; 3.02, 1.4.22, 24.75 and 35,42 kg in Sakız ; 3.31,13.56, 22.70 and 31.60 kg in Dağlıç, respectively. Survival rate of lambs on 105 th and 180 th day were determined 86.3 % and 86.3 % in Kıvırcık; 50.0 % and 50.0 % in Sakız; 85.3 % and 85.3 % in Dağlıç groups. After shearıng and before breeding body weight of Kıvırcık, Sakız and Dağlıç genotypes were found 49.44 and 51.07 kg; 51.39 and 52.71 kg; 46.13 and 46.04 kg respectively. Dirty fleece weight, fiber length, fiber diameter, kemp fibers rate and medullated fibers rate were 2.21 kg, 9.65 cm, 26.83 tnicron, 0.0 % and 3.79 % in Kıvırcık ; 2.08 kg, 9.94 cm, 23.77 micron, 0.06 % and 1.32 % in Sakız ; 2.57 kg, 14.85 cm, 27.16 micron, 0.89 % and 7.90 % in Dağlıç groups, respectively. Except lactation mi l k production, genotype effects on birth weight, 60 th, 105 th and 180 th day body weight, after shearing and before breeding body weight, dirty fleece weight and wool characteristics were found stat istically signifıcant (P
