Özet
Vücudumuzdaki sistemler ünitesindeki Sindirim Sistemi konusu öğrencilerin anlamakta güçlük çektiği konuların başında gelmektedir. Öğrenciler ağıza alınan bir lokmanın vücutta kullanılabilecek hale nasıl geldiğini anlamakta güçlük çekmektedir. Bu soyut konunun, öğrencilerin aktif olabileceği aktiviteler kullanılmadan öğretilmesi, anlamlı öğrenmeyi güçleştirebileceği gibi kavram yanılgısı oluşturma riskini de artırabilmektedir. Öğrencilerin oluşturdukları bu yanılgılar ilköğretim kademesinde giderilmediğinde yükseköğretime kadar taşınabilmektedir. Farklı öğretim seviyelerindeki öğrencilerin öğrenme problemlerinin ve kavram yanılgılarının bulunduğu sindirim sistemi konusunda, mevcut sorunların giderilmesi için çağdaş öğretim yöntemlerinin kullanılması ve yeni öğretim materyallerinin geliştirilmesi ön plana çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, model ve etkinliklerle hazırlanan öğretim materyalinin ilköğretim 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin sindirim, sindirim çeşitleri, sindirim sisteminin yapı ve organları ve sindirim siteminin sağlığı konularındaki kavram yanılgılarını ve bilgi eksikliklerini gidermesi üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemi, Çayeli Hüseyin Rüştü Altunbaş İlköğretim Okulu 7. sınıfta öğrenim gören 30 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Eylem (öğretmen) araştırması yönteminin kullanıldığı çalışma 2012-2013 eğitim öğretim yılında yürütülmüştür. Çalışma verilerini toplamak amacıyla Sindirim Sistemi Testi (SST) ve anket metodu kullanılmıştır. SST ön ve son test olarak iki kez uygulanmıştır. Veri toplama araçlarından elde edilen bulgular, model ve etkinliklerle hazırlanan öğretim materyalinin, ilköğretim 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin sindirim, sindirim çeşitleri, sindirim sisteminin yapı ve organları ve sindirim siteminin sağlığı konularındaki kavram yanılgıları ve bilgi eksikliklerinin giderilmesi üzerindeki etkisinin yorumlanması amacıyla kullanılmıştır. SST'nin uygulamalarından elde edilen bulgular, model ve etkinliklerle hazırlanan öğretim yönteminin ilköğretim 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin, bilgi eksikliklerinin ve kavram yanılgılarının giderilmesi üzerinde etkili olduğunu göstermiştir. Bununla birlikte anket bulguları öğrencilerin fen ve teknoloji dersine karşı tutumlarının ve bireysel gelişimlerinin olumlu yönde geliştiğini ortaya koymuştur. Öğretim sürecinde öğrencilere hazırlanan materyallerle ilgili geri dönüt ve düzeltmelerin verilmesi öğretimin etkililiğini artıracağı düşünülmektedir.

The“Digestive System”subject under the“Systems in Our Body”chapter is the primary subject which the students have difficulty in understanding. Students have difficulty in understanding how a bite taken in the mouth becomes usable in the body.Teaching this abstract subject without using activities in which students are active not only makes difficulty in meaningful learning but also increases the risk of making misconceptions. If these misconceptions are not fixed at elementary education, they can be moved to university education. The use of modern teaching methods to overcome current problems and the development of new teaching materials come to the forefront on the“digestive system”subject which has misconceptions and students' learning problems at different education levels. In this work, It is studied that the effect of the teaching material which is prepared with models and activities, on correcting misconception and lack of information in the digestion, digestive types, parts of digestive system and health of digestive system subjects of 7th grade students. 30 students who are studied in Çayeli Hüseyin Rüştü Altunbaş Secondary School at 7 th grade form the sample of this study. The study was carried out in 2012-2013 academic year and the action research was used as a method. Digestive System Test (DST) and survey method was used in order to collect study data. DST was carried out twice as pre-test and final-test. The findings obtained from data collection tools were used in order to ınterprete the effect of the teaching material which was prepared with models and activities, on correcting misconception and lack of information in the digestion, digestive types, parts of digestive system and health of digestive system subjects of 7th grade students The findings obtained from DS Test show that the teaching technique which is prepared with models and activities is effective on correcting misconception and lack of knowledge of 7th grade students. Survey datas also reveal that students' attitudes against Science and Technology lesson and also their personal developments developed in a positive way. It is thought that feedbacks and check outs of the materials which are prepared to the students will lift the effectiveness of teaching.
