Özet (Çeviri)

SUMMARY The Ancient City of Daskyleion has an important role throughout the history because of its geopolitic situation, This ancient city had been made a satrap center after Anatolia was dominated by Persians, and this event shows its importance. So Daskyleion 's most magnificent period is this Satrap period. The terracottas which have importance in the Greek world all through the history, have been found in Daskyleion in large quantities. Nearly all of these terracottas that were investigated, belong to the Hellenistic period. Only one fragment (no. 119) belongs to the Archaic period. Terracottas that were made usually for different purposes, have religious characteristics in Daskyleion most of these terracottas are related to Kybele and Demeter cult. They have been used as votive offerings to cult centers and graves It has been generally accepted that the origins of whorshippers, baby holding women with one hands raised holding on object type figures lie in the East; In western Anatolia, if we look at the important centers of the period like Myrina, Tarsus, Smyrna, Priene Troia, Pergamon we see that the occurance of this type of eastern origins relatively less, instead, the topics like Eros, Nike, Aphrodite, comic faced figure, Dionysos, were more liked in the Greek world.47 The terracottas found in Daskyleion are also important not only for the social history of the site, but also for showing the pattern of ancient trade throughout the ages in Daskyleion. It is pity that not any corroplast's workshop has been found in Daskyleion so far. But In spite of this care it would be logical to suppose the existence of a small corroplast's workshop which, of course, was producing for dealy needs. It is also clear that the pieces which have rough clay and which were badly moulded and fired could never have been exported but must have been produced locally. Daskyleion gives important informations about ancient believes and trade. As we know, the Daskyleion Ancient City excavations still continues and by means of new findings our knowledge increases everyday.
