Özet
ÖZET Meme tümörlerinin prognostik belirleyicilerinden biri olarak pS2 proteini, son yıllarda birçok araştırmacı tarafından, sıklıkla kullanılan bir belirteçtir. Östrojen ve progesteron reseptörleriyle ve diğer prognostik kriterlerle pS2 ilişkisi yoğun olarak araştırılmıştır. Çalışmamızda östrojen, progesteron reseptörlerinin ve pS2 proteinin yaş, tümör çapı, lenf nodu metastaz sayısı ve histolojik grade ile olan ilişkisi 78 olguda araştırılmıştır.Östrojen ve progesteron reseptörü ekspresyonu ile tümör grade'i ilişkisi arasında istatistiksel anlam taşıyacak sonuç saptanmıştır. pS2 proteininin prognostik faktörlerle ilişkisinin yanısıra östrojen ve progesteron reseptörleri ile olan ilişkisi de çalışmamızda araştırılmıştır. pS2 proteininin, genellikle östrojen ve progesteron reseptörü pozitif olgularda saptanması, bu proteinin üretiminin östrojene bağımlı olduğu görüşünü desteklemektedir. Sonuç olarak pS2 proteininin diğer prognostik faktörlerle ilişkisinin tam olarak değerlendirilmesi için seçilmiş olgulardan oluşan daha geniş serilere ihtiyaç bulunmaktadır. 56

SUMMARY pS2 protein, a prognostic indicator for breast tumors, is a marker widely employed by many investigators. The relationship of pS2, estrogen and progesteron receptors, and other prognostic criteria have been investigated intensively. In this study, the relationships of pS2 protein, estrogen and progesteron receptors with age, tumor diameter, lymph node metastasis and histological grade are investigated. A statistically significant association have been found between the estrogen and progesteron expression and tumor grade. The relationship of pS2 protein with estrogen and progesteron receptor protein has also been investigated. The fact that pS2 protein has generally been detected in estrogen and progesteron receptor protein positive tumors supports the view that the production of this protein was estrogen-dependent. In conclusion, for a complete evaluation of the relationship of pS2 protein with other prognostic factors larger series consisting of selected cases are required. W7
