Özet
Bu tezin amacı ortaokul 7. sınıf matematik dersinde kuantum öğrenme modelinin öğrencilerin biliş ötesi öğrenme stratejilerine ve problem çözme becerilerine etkisini incelemektir. Araştırma, 2015 – 2016 eğitim - öğretim yılı ikinci döneminde Siirt İli Gazi Ortaokulu 7/A ve 7/B sınıflarında okuyan toplam 48 öğrenciyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Karma yöntemin kullanıldığı araştırmanın nicel boyutunda yarı deneysel desenlerden ön test- son test eşleştirilmiş kontrol gruplu model uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel boyutunda ise deney grubundaki öğrencilere yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu uygulanmış ayrıca deneysel işlem sürecine ait öğrenci günlükleri ve etkinlik ürünlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sürecinde dersler, deney grubunda kuantum öğrenme modeline, kontrol grubunda ise mevcut matematik öğretim programına göre işlenmiştir. Veri toplamak için Gürcan (2004) tarafından geliştirilen“Biliş Ötesi Öğrenme Stratejileri Ölçeği”, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ve 5 sorudan oluşan“Problem Çözme Beceri Testi”, deneysel işlem sürecine ait öğrenci günlükleri ve etkinlik ürünleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda kuantum öğrenme modelinin uygulandığı deney grubundaki öğrencilerin biliş ötesi öğrenme stratejileri ve problem çözme becerilerinin kontrol grubundaki öğrencilere göre anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür.

This thesis aims to examine the effect of the quantum learning model on the metacognitive learning strategies and problem solving skills of the 7th grade students of mathematics in secondary school. The research was conducted with two classes with a total of 48 students in 7/A and 7/B grades of Siirt Gazi Secondary School at the second term of academic year in 2015-2016. In the quantitative dimension of the research in which the mixed method is used, a pre-test post test control group model was applied from the quasi experimental designs. In the qualitative dimension of the study the semi-structured interview form was applied to the students in the experimental group also student logs belonging to experimental process and activity products were used. The lessons in the research process were processed in the experimental group according to the quantum learning model and the mathematics program in the control group.“Problem solving skills test”consisting of 5 questions developed by the researcher“scale of intelligent learning strategies”developed by Gürcan 2004 and student logs belonging to the experimental process and activity products were used. In addition, documents review has been conducted for student's diaries and activity products. At the end of the research, Cognitive learning strategies of the students in the experimental group in which the quantum learning model was used and problem solving skills was seen that students significially higher than in the control group.
