Özet
ÖZET Hacettepe Üniversitesi Dişhekimliği Fakültesi Ortodonti Anabilim Dalı' na tedavi olmak amacıyla başvuran iskeletsel ve dental Sınıf II Bölüm I malokluzyonlu bireylerden 10 tanesine Jasper Jumper apareyi uysulanırken, 10 bireyde kontrol grubunu oluşturmak üzere ayrılmıştır. Tedavi grubunu oluşturan bireylerden tedavi öncesi ve sonrasında elde edilen lateral sefalogramlar üzerinde yapılan ölçümler, birbirleriyle ve kontrol grubu ölçümleriyle karşılaştırılarak, maksilla ve mandibuladaki iskeletsel, dental ve yumuşak doku değişikliklerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Tedavi grubunu oluşturan bireylerin yaş ortalaması 11.8±0.8, kontrol grubunu oluşturan bireylerin yaş ortalaması ise 1 1 A±QA yıldır. Sefalometrik ölçümlerde Ricketts, Steiner, Tweed ve McNamara analizlerine ait uygun ölçümler kullanılmıştır. yapılan istatistiksel değerlendirmeler sonucunda, Jasper Jumper apareyinin dentoalveoler düzeyde etkisinin daha fazla olduğu görülmüştür. İskeletsel olarak mandibula geriye saat yönünde rotasyon yapmış ve yüzün total yüksekliğinde artış olmuştur. Üst kesici dişlerin dikleşmesine ve alt kesici dişlerin labiale eğimlenmesine bağlı olarak overjet azalmıştır. Alt kesici dişlerin labiale eğimlenmesine ve gömülmesi sonucunda overbite azalmıştır. Üst molarların aşağıya-öne erupsiyonu engellenmiş ve alt molarlar mezialize olmuştur. Yumuşak doku profille ilgili parametrelerde genel olarak değişiklik saptanmamıştır. m

ABSTRACT The individiuals who had skeletal and dental Class II Div I malocclusion, resular upper and lower dental arches and were in the Srowth and developement periods referred to University of Hacettepe, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics for the correction of their malocclusions. 10 of these patients were treated with Jasper Jumper appliance and 10 of them were chosen to be the control group. At the beginning of the treatment, the mean age of the treatment group wasl 1.8+0.8 years, the mean age of the control group was found to be 1 1.4±0.4 years. The measurements which were done on the lateral cephalograms that were taken from the patients in the treatment group were compared with each other and measurements of the control group during the control period and the skeletal, dental and soft tissue profile changes considering both maxilla and mandible were assessed. Cephalometric evaluations consisted of the appropriate parameters of Ricketts, Steiner, Tweed and McNamara analysis. At the end of the statistical evaluations, it was found that Jasper Jumper appliance was much more effective in the dentoalveoler region. In the skeletal region, mandible was rotated in clock-wise direction and the total height of the face was increased. Due to the uprighting of maxillar incisors and proclination of the mandibular incisors, the overjet was reduced. The overbite was also reduced due to the proclination and the the intrusion of the mandibular incisors. Eruption of maxillary molars was reduced and the mandibular molars were mesialized. In general, no changes were observed in the parameters concerning the soft tissue profile. IV
