Özet
ABSTRAKT Değişen Yıldızlar Genel katalogu (1985)' nda dönem değişimi gösteren örten çift yıldızlan arasından seçilen TV Cas ve XY UMa sistemleri, Ege Üniversitesi Rasathanesi'nde gözlenmiş ve B ve V renk bölgelerinde fotoelektrik ışık eğrileri elde edilmiştir. Literatürden toplanan gözlem verileri yeni gözlemlerle birleştirilerek söz konusu iki sistemin yörünge dönemi sorunları incelenmiş ve yörünge dönemi değişimini manyetik aktivite çevrimine bağlayan Applegate (1992) mekanizması test edilmiştir. Ayrıca elde edilen fotoelektrik ışık eğrileri modem yöntemlerle çözülerek bu iki sistemin geometrik ve fiziksel parametreleri bulunmuştur. ABSTRACT Two eclipsing binary systems, TV Cas and XY UMa, which have been catalogued in the General Catalogue of Variable Stars (1985) as systems exhibiting orbital period changes, have been chosen and observed photoelectrically in order to obtain their B and V light curves at Ege University Observatory. Combining these newly obtained data with the previous ones available in the literature, the problems pertaining to the orbital periods of the two systems have been investigated and the mechanism proposed by Applegate (1992), which relates the orbital period changes to the magnetic activity cycle, has been checked. Further, the observed photoelectric light curves of the two systems have been analyzed by use of the most recent methods in order to obtain the geometric and physical parameters.
