Özet
Arapçada herhangi bir metnin daha doğru bir şekilde kavranabilmesi için, cümleyi oluşturan en önemli unsurlardan biri olan edatların incelenmesi oldukça önemlidir. Konu ile ilgili daha önce yapılan çalışmalarda ağırlıklı olarak edatların cümlenin i'râbına olan etkisinin ön plana çıkması, konuya mana ve delâlet yönünden eğilinmesi noktasında önemli bir gerekçe oldu. Bunun yanında cümle anlamlandırılırken doğru manaya nahiv kaidelerinden yoksun bir şekilde ulaşılamayacağı hususu göz önünde bulundurularak, edatların cümlenin i'râbı üzerindeki şekli etkilerine de tezde kısaca yer verildi. Bir giriş ve iki bölümden oluşan tezin ilk bölümünde bir terim olan edat kelimesi üzerinde duruldu ve bu terimle kastedilen sınırların belirlenmesine çalışıldı. İkinci bölümde daha çok edatların mana ve gramer açısından sahip oldukları işlevler ele alındı. Çalışmada çoğunlukla dini metinler kullanılarak, bir nevi özet formunda konunun anlaşılabilmesi hedeflendi. Literatürde Hurûfu'l-meânî başlığı altında ele alınan ve tek başına kullanılamayan edatların, cümle içerisinde diğer kelime gruplarını nasıl birbirine bağladıkları ve nasıl bir anlam ilişkisi kurdukları incelendi.“Arap Dilinde Edatların İşlevselliği”başlığı altında ele alınan bu çalışmada, özellikle Arap gramerini esas alan temel eserlerdeki görüşler göz önünde bulundurularak, edatların özelliklerine ve sınıflandırılmalarına yer verilmiştir. Özellikle edatın tarifi noktasında tanımlar zenginleştirilerek âlimler arasında görüş ayrılıkları ortaya konulmuş, bu gözlemler ışığında öne sürülen fikirler tarafsızca okuyucuya aktarılmıştır. Bu durum edat konusu altında ele alınması gereken kelimelerin belirlenmesi noktasında yönlendirici olmuştur. Bu çalışmalardan yola çıkarak anlamları ve işlevsellikleri bakımından öne çıkan edatların durumları tespit edilmiştir. Konu ile alakalı pek çok muhtelif eser taranarak, tespit edilen edatların yapıları hakkında kısa bilgiler verildikten sonra, konunun daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi için edatlar; gerek ayet, gerekse şiirsel ve pratik hayattan seçilen metinlerle örneklendirilmiştir. Bu şekilde edatın daha iyi bir şekilde anlaşılabilmesi hedeflenmiş ve ortaya konulan çalışmanın diğer çalışmalara yardımcı olması temenni edilmiştir.

So that any text in Arabic can be grasped more accurately, it is very important to examine the prepositions, one of the most important elements that constitute the sentence. In the previous studies related to the subject, the effect of prepositions on the analysis of the sentence is predominant and this is an important reason for emphasizing the subject in terms of meaning and argument. On the other hand, considering that the correct meaning cannot be attained without the principles of the syntax while interpreting the sentence, the effects of the prepositions on the analysis of the sentence were briefly mentioned in the thesis. In the first part of the thesis consisting of an introduction and two chapters, it has been focused on the term“preposition”and the boundaries that this term refers to have been tried to be determined. In the second part, the functionality of the prepositions is mainly discussed in terms of meaning and grammar. By using plain and simple sentences in the study, it has been partly aimed that the subject can be understood briefly. In the literature under the heading of Huruful meani, it has been examined how prepositions, which cannot be used alone, link other word groups in the sentence and what kind of a meaning relation they establish. In this study handled under the heading of“Functionality of Prepositions in Arabic Language”, features and classifications of prepositions were included, especially considering the opinions in basic works based on Arabic grammar. Particularly for the depiction of preposition, the definitions were enriched and the differences between the scholars were revealed. Then, the ideas put forward in the light of these observations were impartially communicated to the reader. This situation has been the guiding point for determining the words to be discussed under the subject“prepositions”. From these studies, the situation of the featured prepositions in terms of their meaning and functionality has been determined. After many works related to the subject were scanned, brief information about the findings of the prepositions was given. Then, for a better understanding of the subject, prepositions have been exemplified with texts including verses, poetry and daily life. In this way it is aimed that the preposition can be understood in a better way and it is hoped that the present work will be useful for other works.
