SUMMARY YILDIRIM Ahmet, Basis of Main Principles of the Mistisizm in the Hadith, Ph. D. Thesis. Advisor, Doç. Dr. M. Hayri KIRBAŞO?LU, Ankara University, Faculty of Theology, 1996, 425 pp. The thesis is composed of three chapters and one coclusion. In the first chapter, meaning of the word“mistisizm”, sources of the mistisizm, main doctrines of the mistisiz and critisizm on it were emp hasized under the heodig of general considerotion. Without gooing into details general infomation were provided on these subjects. In the second chapter, under the heading“attitude of mistic toward hadith”narration of the hadith by mistics differences from the people of hadith scientist on this subjekt and the debote on whether there ove false hadith (dummy hadith) or not in the literature related to mustusuzm were discussed.Betore evaluating the hadiths in the literature the methods of mistics to“obtain hadith were discussed explained. In the third chapter, under the heading ”basis of main doctrines of the mistisiz in the hadith" nine main foundations of the mistisiz were given. General information and than related hadiths were given. Follwing coclutins related to subjeect were reached; Although above mentioned hadiths were interpreted by mistics according to their understanding, itis not true to interprete all these hadiths. Secause although it appears to be wright to interprete some hadiths by their literal reasoning, the others can be ıhterpreted in a different way. Because mistics relay on revelations at first place, they take hadith as second source and their own interpretations as suggortive material. In addition to that siyak sibak and narration of the hadiths are not strong enaugh to interprete them as mistics understand. Some hadiths cosist of general expressions. It is observed that most of the hadiths used by mistics were not reliable giren there were some diputes over the some hadiths which were accepted as reliable. This shaws that most of the hadiths sited in the literature of mistisizm. Were not reliable and disputed. I hape that this work is a good starting point for further studies on this subjekt.
