Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı İstanbul ili Başakşehir ilçesindeki Geçici Eğitim Merkezlerinde yaşanan sorunları belirlemek ve bu sorunların çözümüne ilişkin yönetici ve öğretmen görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılan bu araştırmanın katılımcıları 9 yönetici ve 69 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları kullanılarak toplanan veriler, betimsel analiz yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Geçici Eğitim Merkezlerinde yaşanan sorunlar ve bu sorunların çözümleri, okul yönetimi, eğitim-öğretim süreci, öğretmen, öğrenci ve velilerle ilgili boyutları belirlenerek yönetici ve öğretmenlerin verdiği yanıtlar temalandırılarak çözümlenmiştir. Bu araştırmanın sonucunda müfredat sorunları, bina kullanımı ile ilgili sorunlar, eğitsel materyallerin eksikliği, sosyal ve sportif etkinliklerin azlığı, öğretmenlerin yaşadığı ekonomik sorunlar, öğrencilerin uyum sorunları, savaş sonrası yaşanan travmalar ve psikolojik sorunlar, dil sorunları, devamsızlık sorunları ve velilerin yaşadığı sosyal ve ekonomik sorunlar gibi sorunların, öğrencilere olumsuz etkilerinin olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Suriyeli yönetici ve öğretmenlerin Geçici Eğitim Merkezlerinin kapatılmaması ve bağımsız bir okul olarak devam etmesi, Türkçe öğretmenlerinin de kadroya alınmaları yönünde beklentilerinin olduğu belirlenmiştir.

The aim of this study is to define the problems of Temporary Education Centers in the district of Başakşehir in Istanbul province and to reveal the views of the administrators and teachers regarding the solution of these problems. In this study qualitative research method is used. The participants of this survey is consist of 9 administrators and 69 teachers. Semi-structured interview forms used in this survey. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. Problems in Temporary Education Centers and solutions of these problems is discussed with the dimensions of school management, education-training process, teachers, students and parents perspectives. In the conclusion of this research curriculum issues, problems with building use, lack of educational materials, lack of social and sporting activities, economic problems experienced by teachers, adaptation problems of students, trauma and psychological problems after the war, language problems, absence problems, the social and economic problems experienced by the parents and the negative effects of this problems on the students has emerged. The Syrian administrators and teachers are expected to not be closed the Temporary Education Centers but to be continued in independence schools. Turkish language teachers are expected continued recruitment in governmental schools.
