The study assesses the impacts created by the renewable energy sources on the Turkish economy. Turkey is a rapid growing in terms of the both industrial production and also the population. Turkish government planned for making an improvement in renewable energy resources by 2033 to meet the growing energy needs of the country. In parallel to this the demand for the energy is growing in a fast pace. The study is done by giving a brief introduction on the dissertation and background structure and then moves to review where the summary of the review is presented here which gives the empirical evidence on the energy policies and Turkish renewable energy sector. The details of the Turkey's ambitious policies for 2023 are also presented in length here. The subsequent chapter briefs in on the Turkeys growing requirement on the renewable energy. The different policies and the strategies adopted by the Turkish government to meet their growing energy requirement is presented here. The description of the data collected is assessed here. The analysis and findings is presented by application of the statistical tools. The research questions are answered in this chapter by referring to the literature review where it is more relevant and the discussion on the findings is made here. The extent to which the objective is framed in the research is assessed and the limitations of the work are also presented. The study finds that Turkey has the enormous potential for renewable energy and this can be utilised to reduce their dependence on the imports and become the trade surplus country. The recommendations for the further research are also presented here.
