Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, mobil uygulama destekli öğretimin ilkokul öğrencilerinin kesirler konusundaki akademik başarısına etkisinin incelenmesidir. Yapılan bu çalışma deneme modelinde ve ön test- son test uygulama ve kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desende uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Van ili Edremit ilçe merkezindeki bir ilkokulun dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubunu oluşturan sınıflardan biri deney (14) diğeri kontrol grubu (14) olarak belirlenmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan 'Akademik Başarı Testi' kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin analizinden elde edilen sonuçlara göre; Deney grubu ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerine öğretim süreci öncesinde uygulanan akademik başarı testi ön test puan ortalamaları karşılaştırıldığında deney grubu ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin ön test puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır. Bu sonuca göre, deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin kesirler konusundaki akademik başarı düzeyleri denktir. MEB Matematik Öğretim Programına ek olarak mobil uygulama destekli öğretim sürecinin yürütüldüğü deney grubu öğrencilerinin akademik başarı testi son test puanları, MEB Matematik Öğretim Programının uygulandığı kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin son test puanlarından anlamlı düzeyde yüksek çıkmıştır. Bu sonuç, mobil uygulama destekli öğretim sürecinin, kesirler konusunun öğretiminde etkili olduğunu göstermektedir.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of mobile application-supported instruction on academic achievement of elementary school students in fractions. The study is in experimental model and quasi-experimental design with pre/post-test control and experiment groups is applied. The study group consists of fourth grade students in a primary school in Edremit district of Van province. One of the classes constituting the study group was determined as experiment (14) and the other as control group (14). 'Academic Achievement Test' prepared by the researcher was used. According to the results of the analysis of research data; There was no significant difference between the pre-test scores of the experimental group and the control group students when compared to the pre-test mean scores of the experimental group and the control group students before the teaching process. According to this result, experimental and control group students have equal academic achievement levels in fractions. The post-test scores of the academic achievement test of the experimental group students who conducted the mobile application-supported teaching process were significantly higher than the post-test scores of the control group students who applied the MEB Mathematics Teaching Program. This result shows that the mobile application assisted teaching process is effective in teaching fractions.
