Özet
Amaç: Spor yapan ve yapmayan işitme engelli öğrencilerin solunum fonksiyon parametrelerinin karşılaştırılmasıdır. Materyal ve Metot: Çalışmanın amacına uygun olarak Malatya ilinde Akşemseddin İşitme Engelliler Ortaokulunda eğitim gören 11-16 yaşları arasında 40 işitme engelli öğrenciye ulaşıldı. Ancak ikincil bir engele sahip olan iki öğrenci çalışma dışı bırakılarak 38 öğrenciden ölçümler alındı. 20 (11 kız, 9 erkek) öğrenci spor yapan grubu oluştururken 18 (10 kız, 8 erkek) öğrenci ise spor yapmayan grubu oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada Pony FX MIP/MEP Spirometre cihazı kullanıldı. FVC, SVC, MVV, MIP, MEP değerleri ölçüldü. Mann Whitney U testi, t-testi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Spor yapan işitme engelli öğrencilerin SVC değeri 2.15±0.59, spor yapmayan işitme engelli öğrencilerin SVC değerinden 1.02±0.32 anlamlı derecede yüksek bulundu (p<0.05). Spor yapan işitme engelli öğrencilerin MVV% değeri 19.50±17.09, spor yapmayan işitme engelli öğrencilerin MVV% değerinden 40.94±10.76 anlamlı derecede düşük bulundu (p<0.05). Spor yapan işitme engelli öğrencilerin MİP değeri 21.45±25.02, spor yapmayan işitme engelli öğrencilerin MİP değerinden 36.94±15.64 anlamlı derecede düşük bulundu (p<0.05). Spor yapan işitme engelli öğrencilerin MEP değeri 52.95±23.30 ile spor yapmayan işitme engelli öğrencilerin MEP değeri 52.83±32.60 arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır (p>0.05). Sonuç: Koopera sorunundan dolayı başarılı FVC ölçümleri alınamamıştır. Spor yapan işitme engelli öğrencilerin SVC değeri daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Spor yapmayan işitme engelli öğrencilerin MİP ve MVV% değerleri daha yüksek bulunmuştur. MEP ölçümünde spor yapan ve yapmayan işitme engelli öğrenciler arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır.

Aim: The aim of this study is to compare the respiratory function parameters of hearing impaired students and non-sport hearing impaired students. Materials and Methods: In accordance with the aim of the study, were reached 40 hearing impaired students aged between 11-16 were educated in Akşemseddin Secondary School for the Deaf in Malatya. However, two students with a secondary disability were excluded from the study and measurements were taken from 38 students. While 20 (11 girls, 9 boys) students were engaged in sports group, 18 (10 girls, 8 boys) students were non-sports group. Pony FX MIP / MEP Spirometer was used in the study. FVC, SVC, MVV, MIP, MEP values were measured. Mann Whitney U test and t-test were used. Results: SVC value of the hearing impaired students doing sports was 2.15 ± 0.59 and 1.02 ± 0.32 higher than SVC value of the hearing impaired students who did not play sports (p <0.05). MVV% value of the hearing impaired students doing sports was found to be 19.50 ± 17.09 and 40.94 ± 10.76 lower than MVV% value of the hearing impaired students who did not play sports (p <0.05). The MIP value of the hearing impaired students doing sports was found to be 21.45 ± 25.02 and 36.94 ± 15.64 significantly lower than the hearing impaired students who did not play sports (p <0.05). There was no significant difference between the MEP value of the hearing impaired students who performed sports was 52.95 ± 23.30, and 52.83 ± 32.60 the MEP value of the students who did not play sports (p> 0.05). Conclusion: Successful FVC measurements could not be obtained due to the coopera problem. The hearing impaired students doing sports were found to have higher SVC values. MIP and MVV% values were higher in hearing impaired students who were not doing sports. There was no significant difference in the MEP measurement between the hearing impaired students doing sports and hearing impaired students non-sports.
