Özet
- Panel System. Furthermore, the connection of the parts forming the curtain wall facade with the structural building elements and surface forming units is taken into consideration and classified in this section under the heading“Connection”. The systems are classified in the following manner according to the connection between support frame and surface forming elements; - With pressure plate systems, - Structural glazing systems, - Composite systems. In this section the assembly methods of different kinds formed according to the connection types between supporting frame and infill units are taken into consideration as the last subject. In part four various samples of systems used in the world and Turkey are cosidered according their clssification. Furthermore, break down of the aluminium framed curtain wall systems is carried out and the following elements are evaluated considering their functions and positions: - Supporting main section ( transoms and mullion), - External and internal gaskets, - Thermal break elements, -Infill units, - Pressure plate, - Stuctural sealant, - External and internal additional profiles. In part five, the characteristics of the building are evaluated to select a suitable facade. xv

Those characteristics are; - Evaluation of the properties of the building form, - Evaluation of the physical environmental conditions, - Evaluation of the location and construction process of the building Beside the above matters, the factors forming the criteria of performance of the curtain wall facade are taken into consideration. - Structural, - Environmental control, - Construction and assembly, - Maintenance and repair In the last part the types are listed emerging how the reclassifications of support frames and connections between the infill unit and the frame. These types are then reviewed in the the light of the building characteristics from the angle of performance criteria applied the curtain wall systems. XVI- Panel System.
