Özet
Kapadokya Bölgesinde Nevşehir İli Ürgüp İlçesinde bulunan İbrahim Paşa Köyü Çevresi Kaya Kiliseleri 'Babayan- Tavşanlı- Balkan Deresi I Kaya Kiliseleri' adlı çalışmada ilk bölümde araştırmanın yöntemi, bölgenin tarihçesi, coğrafi konumu, jeolojik yapısının yanı sıra bölgedeki kilise yapılarının mimari özellikleri ve plan gelişimleri ayrıca duvar resimleri, resim programları hakkında genel bilgi verilmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci ve üçüncü aşamasında tezdeki kilise yapıları tarihlendirme, bulunduğu mekân, günümüzdeki son durumu, planı ve mimari özellikleri resim programı, ikonografisi incelenmiş olup; bölgede yer alan diğer kilise yapıları ile benzerlik ve farklılıkları bakımından ele alınmıştır. Son bölümde tüm çalışmanın üslup, plan, mimari açıdan değerlendirilmesi ve bölgede inceleme yapan araştırmacıların kiliseler için yaptıkları tarihlendirmeden sonra mimari ve ikonografik değerlendirme ile ilgili yorumlar yapılmıştır. Genel olarak bölgede görülen kiliselerde ve duvar resimlerinde tespit edilen üslup ve ikonografik farklılıklar ve gelişmeler Bizans imparatorluğunun sosyal durumundaki değişimlerinden olduğu fark edilmiştir. Kapadokya bölgesinde kilise planlarında tek nefli kiliseler, iki nefli kiliseler, bazilikalar, haç planlı kiliseler ve kare içinde haç planlı kilise olarak çeşitli plan özellikleri karşımıza çıkmıştır. Bu plan çeşitliliği belirttiğimiz gibi Bizans imparatorluğunun yaşamış olduğu dönem özelliklerine göre değişiklik göstermiştir. Yine yapılarda görülen duvar resimlerinde üç grup olduğu belirlenmiştir. Buna göre birinci grup; manastır hayatı yaşayan din görevlilerinin diğer manastırlarda yaşayanlar ile ilişkiler içinde olup geleneksel basit süslemeli kilise resim programları meydana getirmiştir. İkinci grup olarak Makedonya ve Kommenoslar dönemiyle başlayıp kültürel gelişmeler sayesinde din görevlilerinin başkente gidip orada eğitim alıp sanat ve felsefeyi öğrendikten sonra bunları kilise yapılarında kullanarak dinin felsefi ve liturjik yönünü belirten çeşitli kompozisyon sahneler uygulamışlardır. Üçüncü grup olarak ise imparatorluğun son döneminde Paleolagoslar ile birlikte kilise yapılarında süsleme alanında kaliteli dönem kaliteli süsleme gündeme gelmiştir. İmparatorlukta yaşanan siyasi ve ekonomik çöküşler kiliseleri de olumsuz etkilemiştir. Önceki dönemde görülen canlılık kalite bu dönemde manastırda yetişen din görevlilerinin eline geçmesiyle son bulmuştur. Tezde yer alan kiliselerin mimari ve plan özellikleri ve resim programları bu dönemler de değerlendirilerek açıklanmıştır.

In the first part of the study called Ibrahim Pasha Village Rock Churches ' Babayan- Tavşanlı-Balkan Deresi I Rock Churcles' in Ürgüp district Nevşehir city in Cappadocia Region, the method and the way of the research, the history of the region, the geographical location, the geological structure as well as the architectural features and plan developments of the church structures in the region as well as the plan information is provided. In the second and third stages of the study, the church structures on the subject, dating, the current situation, the current situation, plan and architectural features of painting program, iconography were examined in terms of similarities and differences with the other church structures in the region. In the last chapter stage, after the evaluation of the whole work in terms of style, plan, architecture and the dating of the researchers in the region for the churches, comments were made about the architectural and iconographic evaluation. The stylistic and iconographic differences and developments observed in the churches and murals seen in the region in general have been realized as the changes in the social situation of the Byzantine Empire. In the church plans in the Cappadocia region, one-nave churches, two-nave churches, basilica, free-cross churches, and cross-plan churches in the square appeared. As we have mentioned, this plan has varied according to the characteristics of the period in which the Byzantine Empire lived. Again there are three groups in the wall paintings seen in the buildings. Accordingly, the first group; The religious officials of the monastery have relations with those living in other monasteries and have created traditional simple ornamented church painting programs. The second group started with the period of Macedonia and the Kommenos, and thanks to the cultural developments, the religious officials went to the capital and studied there and learned the arts and philosophy, and used them in church structures and applied various composition scenes indicating the philosophical and liturgical aspects of religion. As the third group, the quality of high-quality ornament came into the agenda in the field of ornamentation in church structures with the Paleolagos during the last period of the empire. The political and economic collapse of the empire had a negative impact on the churches. The vitality seen in the previous period came to an end with the passing of the religious officials raised in the monastery in this period. The architectural and plan characteristics and painting programs of the church buildings in the subject were also evaluated and explained.
